So once again the topic of learning how to climb came up and this is the go-to for instruction . So happens this is the 25th Anniversary of Doug Robinson's classic video release. SO I GOT ONE in the mail today THank you Doug and Eva for sending it. In the same delivery I got my cams back from reslinging by Mountain Tools, thank you SO much Larry Arthur and Jane G. Add that to the resoles by Doug down in J tree taking over for Locker and it's a triple win for everything you need right here in the Supertopo crew. So stoked about it all.

Moving over Stone is the best how to rock climb video ever.

Doug and Eva are awesome people.

Larry Arthur and Jane G are wonderful humans, too.

MtTools reslings are fantastic - having them resling C4s was money WELL spent.

But, that Locker guy....

Ditto that. Larry and Jane provide dependable, excellent service that I'm willing to pay a couple of bucks more for.

Miss Doug and Eva. They are great people.

Haven't seen the film. We should get together and watch it Pink. Video party when I'm locked down in the Bay Area this winter :)

Miss Doug and Eva

Never met Eva. Haven't seen him since he moved away from Round Valley except at one of his shows in Bishop years ago. Miss Doug posting on this forum. He has a lot of stories to share. Amazes me that he looks as young today as he did 30 years ago.

I'd like to hear more about the Ama Dablam climb before it became a mess of fixed ropes and the first clean ascent of HDRNWF.

If it came out in 1988, how is this the 25th Anniversary?
I'm having some trouble with the math...

I had heard of this video and had seen a small outtake of it "back then" in the early 2000s. Today with Honnold's film out it is still very relevant. There's a good capture of Peter Croft responding to the very same questions about soloing, a good match to comments in Free Solo. Plus I love showing it to those MP loving instagramers so they can see where they fall in the big picture. LOL It's perfectly relevant and fun to see. Madie, your going to love it. The dvd you can purchase from Doug's website is the 25th Anniversary Edition DVD. Check out Doug's site.

Doug spoke at the Oakdale Climbers Fest this October and did a great job. Have enjoyed getting to know Eva. We are collectively an awesome campfire, imho.

The date on the VHS pic was from 1988. Maybe the VHS he gave me was prior to formal release? If it was released in 88 this would be the 30th anniversary.

I had all those old VHS climbing videos, Moving Over Stone, Masters of Stone, etc. When we finally got rid of our VHS, I transferred then to DVD but I can't remember if I ever tried to play them since then! Will have to look around the house and see if I can find them.

Decided after posting that maybe he got the DVD made in 2013, so it was 25 then? Was thinking it was a new deal. Always loved the video.
