I've often joked with friends that I like to wall climb or normal free climb stuff Honnold has solo'd. Being up there, and thinking about how insane his level of climbing control is to the general population is baffling. Tommy is in the same boat. Imagining him freeing the Nose, and Salathe in a day this past spring while on the Nose brought my appreciation for his skills up a notch.

You'll have to check this with Doc Hartouni, but if things coniinue at this rate they're gonna be done before they even start.

Speaking relatively of course.

There was a young woman named White
Who traveled much faster than light.
She set out one day
In a relative way
And returned on the previous night.

Climbing with either Caldwell or Honnold would be like cheating. Both of them climbing together? Well, that's just not fair . . .

Any video out there?

I really enjoyed seeing the Huber brothers doing their speed climbing thing on the Nose a few years back

I think Hans Florine talks about the cavers in his Enormocast episode... I believe he says their fastest guy takes about 45 minutes?

Insanity. I don't think anyone except Tommy and Alex can truly comprehend what 1:58 means. Just for giggles, the fastest marathon ever ran (unconfirmed however) is 2 hours 25 seconds. Apples to oranges, but very mind-altering to think about. Very proud work, pushing human limits of what is possible.

It's a harry pursuit but, it really is better to live to the fullest while you can.

^^ Yeah that picture is insanely good. Instagram just says Reel Rock but I think that's a Corey Rich photo.

The way the huge loop of slack from Alex perfectly frames Tommy is wild. Not to mention a great display of the techniques used to make this time possible.

Thanks for giving the well deserved credit. Corey took a similar photo but it must have been a different run, different lighting.
