Greetings, fellow climbers!
I'm doing bouldering (in the gym, in Versailles, France) for almost a year now. I'm consistently practicing 2 times a weeks plus 1 to 2 extra workouts outside of the bouldering gym. Average grade level ~6b.
My height is 196cm (~6.4 feet), it sometimes gives me advantage on the routes above my level due to big reach. However, my daily footwear shoe size is 49 EU (15 US) and my climbing shoes choice is very limited.
I'm at a point now where I start to commit to bouldering practices more seriously and I need to have proper shoes, but selection of climbing shoes of my size is limited to the models for beginners.
Here're the shoes I'm using for a year now, they're size 49EU/15US (photo below). I called all the shops around my area (Paris, France) and the only models of my size are basic. I tried Millet Cliffhanger of size 48 and it felt terribly painful.
I'd appreciate some advice on following topics:
Are you aware of climbing shoes brands that produce big size models?
Are there any guides/advice you can give/link on the footwork that I could use to overcompensate the weakness of big shoe size / poor shoes?
Any tips are greatly appreciated!
