I turn 62 in a month, bum knee and bad shoulder but will never stop going up the hill, its in my blood. Heres to all you young guns that are continuing the woodson tradition of hard routes and hard climbers. Cheers!

Ron, glad to see your the one that got the 2018 thread started. Need to get back down there. I’ll see your 62’ in March. Keep the Hill company and don’t worry about those aches and pains.

I'd go to Woodshun, but I'd get smacked down hard without the BVB beta.
Ya'll should rally. Woodson is so damn iconic. The boulders are in the shape of BOULDERS! It is the definition of bouldering, in a way. Plus CRACKS!

Happy Wednesday everyone. I wanted to see if anyone had accidently left a hammock and straps on woodson earlier this week.
I'm emptying the trashbags at the bottom of the hill and someone had left them in getting off the fire station.
If it's a climber I wanted to make sure you got it back.

I wanted to see if anyone may have lost a pair of sunglasses on the trail up to the Y-crack over the weekend, we found the glasses yesterday morning on the way up.

Yes, I'm spraying about this place some more. Not Woodson...but real close. Here are some pics from the other day out at Lake Ramona. Laser splitters, friction slabs, mantles, steep and featured faces...it's got it all. Come get some!

The hike in is two miles, but the quality of the rock at Lake Ramona is mint. Is it better than Woodson? I think it is in fact just a little better. Crisp fine minty clean granite that is worth the walk. Aden and Ben May, Randy Leavitt and AJ the strong bald guy have done some stellar routes up there. Props to them! If you need beta get a hold of Aden Parker. He has the most information.

I spent years at Woodson, being a Poway guy. I never got sick of the place, and I never get sick of threads about it.

Thanks for the confirmation, Hubbard. We start to wonder if maybe we overestimate the quality there..but it really is an amazing place. We're hoping that the hike won't be the thing keeping people from going there.
Anyone that appreciates the climbing at Woodson needs to check it out.
