Hi, does anyone have a suggestion about where to climb at the end of December in the US? We have 10 days of vacation and are looking for someplace warm. Even some sport areas are fine . We are thinking maybe New Mexsico / Arizona . Thanks.

Cochise / Tucson area. Good variety of rock and style (multi-pitch / trad / sport) options.
Unfortunately most of the better crags in NM are pretty darn chilly in December.
Have fun!

The camping and scenery at Cochise are stellar as is the multi pitch climbing. Saw my first mountain lion there.

Cochise is just coming into season with temps cooling off and perfect blue skies. Got the pleasure of another stunning sunset and long tracks of perfect granite all to ourselves.

Another vote for the Tucson/Cochise area. A bit further north the areas around Phoenix are usually fine as well--the Superstitions, Oak Flat, etc, though not as beautiful as the Stronghold. If you end up staying on the East Coast, though not as reliable in terms of weather as Arizona, but I've had great conditions in Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama in December.
