Do something different today to celebrate. Maybe some climbing?

Hey Jim, At 74 you might have given pause to what time really is...
I find, time is of this planet, giving a means, a bond to relate to our Mother Earth. Her spin and rotation produce seasons to play and to sleep. The expansion of our universe is speeding up, I'm sure at my 72 I feel this speed; the days go by...

So, Dear "brother of the stone", are you a reflecting sort of fellow; would you like to share a view or two on your Happy Birthday?

Cheers!! Russ

Advice from climber a decade younger (Donini): You want to learn to climb cracks? Do laps on the Generator Crack!

The elder's response (Lauria): But it hurts!

Accrued wisdom reacting to the enthusiasm of youth.

Happy birthday, Jim.

Happy Birthday to a world class human being and a climbing legend.
You appear to be ageless, which I attribute to being married to Angela, climbing, and vino rosso.
Stay well and keep moving! Phyl

I'm sure Jim Donini does not think of himself as old. My Yogi, who is 95 years old, is, only now, considering the fact that he may be getting just a little bit old. I think, that's how Mr. Donini will handle it. Keep on keeping on Jim!

I love to hear what you have to say Jim, you've got a good head on your shoulders, and a kind heart.

Thanks everyone for the kind wishes. I had a great day in the Tetons. I took Ali, the 19 year old granddaughter of a client from the 70's who became one of my beat friends, up Guide's Wall.
The enthusiasm and wonder of young people like Ali magically shed years.
