She is using crappy SS wedge bolts placed in jungle limestone with a 2 year or less lifespan, Titanium only area, what a JOKE. She may be cute that's about it.

while i won't live long enough to rewatch, i was left trying to decide whether or not this was a subtle parody... the use of phrases like "king line" on a little limestone crag, "the jungle" regarding what looks to be in or at least very near to farmers fields, the bizarre use of a machete that starts the little show, etc and etc.

basically i can't decide if i've become overly jaded or overly dense.

in part, given she's french, i can't entirely rule out a subtle parody. if so, very, very well done and acted.

if it's completely "authentic", as the kids like to say these days... and as it's also sponsored by a bunch of big name companies... then this truly is another sign that the apocalypse is upon us.

It HAS to be a parody. Nobody is that naive or narcissistic, not even Burchey.
A "gigantic" 70 foot "tower", knee high grass machete action, bolt ladder, go bro?
No way anybody would sponsor that "Expedition".
Or maybe it is the end of the world as we know it.

I took another look at it with the parody idea in mind. If it is parody is is very subtle. If it is not parody it is an embarrassment for Petzl, she is on Team petzl and they seemed to be behind it

. . . .I was very young and I was immediately captivated by this environment into which I had immersed myself: nature, hiking, skiing, canyoning and via ferrata. Then I paid to go climbing indoors and I was completely hooked by this more technical style of climbing. . . .

At some point the old guard has got to give it up on the matter of bolts.

Kids learn in gyms. They are safe for a purpose...to not get sued.

They get used to that kind of pro and then expect it when they go outside. They might not retro every old line, but as for new lines, bolts are already literally no big deal.

Madame, I fear to address you but also I hate to follow your critical thinking here.

I like that Mlle Durif is studying engineering. Suggests to me she'll be around climbing fer a looooong time :-D. There's a preponderance of 'geerz in this "sport".

She was a wunderkind , 5x world youth climbing champ and joined the Petzl team aged 10, well over half her lifetime ago.

If the video IS parody, I'm HOPING she's the future of climbing.

Taken to the obvious extreme

If you look at the idea that placing gear is just placing gear for protection, then all removable gear is obsolete. There is no need especially on crack climbs to have to stop to protect, if one can just clip bolts. That is clipping the rope into ' in-situe' fixed protection set at a perscibed safe distance of every, what? 10 to 12 inches.
And there is no reason, ever, anymore to start a route from the ground. Pre-inspection, It is safer , more fun, & will provide more climbers with more time climbing,
if one climber goes 1st top down pre- clipping the draws to the bolts so that nothing dangles annoyingly off your harness while you climb.
Have a nice day

PS, I'll just say that the sport of climbing could and should be a women dominate activity, As strength to weight ratio, is the most critical factor - so given the removal of all obsticals. Ans social bias, women will soon if they don't already share the very top end of the activity they, you have always been the stronger s _ _ * *( "Bad' word omitted so as not to offend - butt hurt ) '8^L ,'," playin' The Devils Advocate
