The Craigheads influenced a lot of people I know towards constructive action to preserve free-flowing rivers and wildlife habitats. And they directly inspired me to take my first whitewater trip on the Middle Fork Salmon. John was truly a legend, a really good man.

I remember seeing that clip in one of Dr. Don's classes at MSU. Crazy. A very inspirational man indeed.
Condolences to all family and friends.

^^^Dr Don, as in, Bio 105? Hilarious class! I took it in..gulp...1980 or '81 at MSU.

Grew up in Lower Miller Creek near the Craighead place. Used to see birds of prey, etc, when I was a kid. '60's/70's.

I think you can still see the teepee ring on their property from google earth!

Amazing life.
