Would love to if I can find something for the dogs to do. It's a super crowded hike there on a saturday so I wouldn't want to bring them and I work at night so don't want to diss them for the whole day.

It's my better 1/2s B day or I would meet you.

I've always enjoyed 90 foot wall. About all I'm in shape for at the moment...

Does parking still suck there? Really like the area, and Eagle Lake is a must-do. That chimney is wild!

Can't make it there this weekend though. Good luck!

Parking doesn't suck as long as you park before 7:15 AM.

that is if you want to experience THE best day of your life. Ha

and if your feeling extra grumpy, get on up travellrs buttress. it is in america's top 20 you know!

^^^Oh good for you then, i didn't know.

you could then always solo everything on Hogsback for a better than a testosterone shot experience and never pullin herder than 5.8.

hope you can find parking and a partner @ 90 people wall tho;)

edit; did i mention LL has a tavern and a gear shop!?

Seriously, if you haven't been on space truckin,,, it's as good as the Sierra's has to offer for the grade! Only wish it was longer!! All the rock in that area is superb! 90 ft wall is a fucing monument to the rock gods of the universe! if only that thing could be replicated a billion times, instyead of all these queer rock gyms..

if you can't find parking up fronty, just go to the parking lot across the street and wait 20-30 minutes. that's as long as the tourons last till they move on. if that don't work just start blowin your horn, they'll moove!

Does it mean, no, Gumby? (as in no climbing on Saturday)?

It means if you find someone else jump on it. I'd love to but it seems unlikely. Also Friday I'll be camping somewhere but Ashley has to work a double Saturday which means we'll get back just before her work around 10 am I think. Parking is never too bad for the creative. Most folks along 89 are stopping to take pics so there is a lot of churn.

Otherwise I'm much more available mid week and would love to check out other stuff there too (Eagle Creek Cliffs are fun but I haven't checked out Eagle's Nest yet)

edit-scratch that. She's not working a double so I won't be back

Moose (1) I strongly recommend checking out the AMAZING tunnel/grotto behind the climbs. "It goes boys." End to end. Apparently formed when ELC formed. Maybe half of all visitors climb and leave never knowing it's back there and how cool it is. First time in take rope, partner and maybe a light. It's longer than you might think. Have fun. (2) While you're there, at least challenge yourself on Space Walk too. (3) Take along some pro-science reading material too, recommend Sapiens, by Harari.

The tunnel starts in the corner to the right of the unnamed chimney. We had the dogs so we didn't do it. It's in the supertopo

If I were still living in Berkeley I'd be able to squeeze in a day trip. But the commute from SoCal is a bit much for that destination. Good luck!
