Hi all,

I found an SD card a couple weekends ago. Later in the same area, I found a broken camera. This was at Herring Creek Dome along Highway 108 (Sonora Pass Highway), in case you recall a friend having been up there in 2015.

From the pics, they are in fact climbers, despite the fish in the pic. :)

Here are pics of the likely owners. Can you help identify them?

note: they may be Touchstone gym members but Touchstone hasn't contacted me since I mentioned it to them on their FB page, so I'm assuming the gym itself doesn't know who they are.

Perhaps you know these folks? If so, please contact me so I can authenticate the owners and get their photos back to them.

Thx eKat. Yeah, would be nice. Looks like it was a good trip for them too.

They may be Central Valley climbers too. So MetalMark or Pipeworks folks, take a look since those are Touchstone gyms.

Argh! Hey oldfattradguy2, yeah me of course, how are you?
is this the big anniversary year of the High E keggers ?(35yrs?)

I was looking at the pictures
then I saw some mention of New Jersey?
So I looked more closely. . . (Blue neckerchiefs = Eagle Scout?)
What gives up New Jersey? If it is NJ
Then the guy, on the left, smiley, there in the tight shirt ?
One has to cut me some slack here, I would not have seen him since?'90,'91?
at least . . .

His name is
Amos Beason ! I'm almost positive. . .

I would not know much more the family lived in a town near where I grew up
He and I were well acquainted I took him top roping he was younger than I by maybe 6 yrs?
Wow what a trip.

By the way I'm not sure but if I remember he may have went to Trulane U in New Orleans?
His family moved south from Jersey . . . .

To wit ,
the thread I can pull is to somehow check old town records, for when they moved?
Not much point, I do not do faceplant so if some intrepid Topian wants,
Google Amos Beason Eagle Scout?

If it is the same guy, it's easy enough to send him a message.

Yup, that first picture with the fish was taken on the grounds of Crystal Crag Lodge. (Mammoth Lakes Basin on Lake Mary) Most likely they were guests there. Worked there for a few summers and recognized it instantly.

The pics from their trip took them to a couple places, not just Sonora Pass area, and not just Herring Creek Dome on that trip.

I'm surprised we haven't identified them yet. The climbing community can't be that big.

Any date/time metadata in the original images? An online exif reader is located at http://regex.info/exif.cgi. With that and the pic you might be able to call up the Crystal Crag Lodge and get info.

Their Herring Creek day was on Saturday, ‎October ‎10, ‎2015

Other pics show backpacking at the end of August.

There's another couple with a TCS shirt. Posting that shortly.

I do commend their choice of rucksack it looks like the Deuter Air contact, I love mine, most comfortable pack I've ever owned and pretty lightweight for how much it holds, very reasonably priced as well
