Hi Peter,
I know you lurk here occasionally, and I don't expect you to actually answer me, but I sure would love to be able to buy your shoe! I've tried both the 13 and 13.5 and they are just too small.
If any Evolv reps are reading, yes, bigfoot does exist. I just bought a 49 Scarpa Techno X. I would have loved to have purchased your shoe, but it's not widely available here in Canada and the 13.5 is way too small.
It's funny because i am a size 13 street shoe but i can't even put your 13's on?
I talked to the sales rep at Climb On, and he said that i bought the biggest shoe in canada! He also said that five other guys had either tried on or called about that same pair, so apparently there are more of us than i thought!
I know we are a small portion of the market, but we do exist, so how about a small run in the larger sizes?!
PRETTY PLEASE??!!!
Bigfoots everywhere will thank you.
Oh and if Tommy and or Sportiva is reading this, we would love to wear TC Pros too!! ;)

How about just get a custom shoe made. Couldn't link it for you some time ago on ST someone mentioned a guy that made shoes for climbing. Maybe search the resole threads?

I used to have Gary Mekan from Salt Lake make me custom crack shoes back in the day. They were incredible. I'm afraid from a google search he might be "up the river" these days.

I think the Cypher Sentinel is the largest high top climbing shoe currently made,
Picked up a used pair of 48.5's from Nomad in J-Tree...nice. I'd give them a shot cuz Peter ain't gonna help you out with dem Astromans.

I'm a 13 street shoe as well(6'4") and I use the TC Pro in the 46, it was tight for awhile but are turning out to be great, the mythos comes in a 47(I use a 46.5) and it runs big imo. I've always wanted to try the croft shoe but haven't been able to try it on first...
Pppplease Peter!!!

I'd contact Evolve directly to plead your case. I'm guessing Peter has no say in what sizes they decided to produce.
Not sure who does custom shoes any longer.. Meekan made great shoes but rumor has it the Mob buried him out in the desert somewhere- no ones seen him since. The guy who took over his shop doesn't do mail order.
A trip to China for a proper foot binding may be a solution;)

Climbing shoe sizing has shrunk over the years. I have size 13 street shoes and back in the day would get size 11 1/2 or 12 climbing shoes for a snug fit. Last few pairs of modern shoes I've ordered size 13 and they sadistically painful.

I'm probably a 13.5, 13 in some shoes and 14 in others. I wear a 46 tc pro, which is sport climbing tight at first but stretches over time. I have a somewhat narrow foot.
Have you seen the Butora shoes, I think they come in a 14...
I heard that evolv didn't take much advice from Croft, they just used his name for sales. I know that he climbs in Scarpa shoes, the kind for sports climbing.

Some day someone will create a company that takes a cast of your foot and then makes a foam last that they send out to shoe manufacturers and for a price you will get shoes that fit.

One good Everest expedition and you'll be fine in EU 40s after. Find a model with a blunt toe.
I'm size US 13 and wear TC Pros size 46. Great trad fit for longer routes, but I can lace them tight for performance, or my idea of performance anyway. I don't understand the manufacturers reluctance to make larger shoes; work at a climbing gym near a college and your rentals better be up to canoe sized.
I forgot my Fires back in the States when I hit Chamonix in '85, and I was only able to find one pair of crappy shoes in all of town that fit. "C'est tres grande!" (That's what she said...)
