Pictures from the Trip Reports would be smart. Don't forget that hashtags are a big component at Instagram. It may seem gross, but it IS the way to expend views. Of course, you probably don't want people who have never and will never climb becoming forum users(Id hope, anyway), so climbing specific tags would be more useful than general outdoors-related ones
#yosemiteclimbing has 456 posts, as an example.

hey there say, chris... i like the trip report stuff...
and, any shots of interests as to neat photo capture of the rocks, during
a climb (that perhaps did not have a whole trip report) that really IMPRESSES one to enjoy life's adventures, and teamwork and friendship...
like a few 'wow shots' i reckon you might call it...
(with the credits, of course) ...

It's great that you've got that account up and running, Cmac. All my nieces and nephews ( teens and twenties), use instagram and snapchat. The 40s through 60s age group have taken over Facebook. It's such an easy way to reach a range of ages.
Many US climbers are already aware of the resources Supertopo provides but I bet you have a vast untapped market in foreign climbers planning to, or dreaming of, visiting the West to climb. Most of them know about Yosemite but I notice that most of them are unaware of other great destinations, eg those covered in many of your guidebooks. So some way to use instagram to reach that audience. Would be interesting.

I don't use it but thought instagram was about pictures. So post the best pics from trip reports with links to the reports.
Or post pics of old people on this forum and have a contest to see who can ID the famous climbers lol.

A topo!
Take one of your free topos and paste a link to it that allows users to blow it up and print it. Just a thought. Or even dangle some bait and do this for topos that are popular but not free. Give a couple away and you'll create quick followers looking for their next junkie fix!
