Edit: Are you including banned and then reinstated....I think Locker was one of those.

And Lynne, I have to agree that TGT's banishment (if not self-inflicted) seems unusually harsh to me.

and he started a thread about it after TGT posted some of his typical right wing copy and pastes or cartoons that were offending to some.
TGT was banned months later for being a nameless right wing troll,
some may know him personally, but he was not that on ST

This is crazy, crazy. I know these people and they are cool and if I gave a party and they attended they would have fun together. What happens when people dialogue on the internet with no human, eye to eye, face to face contact?

The population here has decreased over the past 6+ years. It's not just the people that have been banned, but more so the ones that have just stopped posting for a variety of reasons.
We used to get some hilarious posts and pictures from The Fish, Peter Haan, Roger Breedlove, Roy McClenehan and so many others.
Toxicity caused some of it for sure. It's a campfire, people, not burning crosses.

Some of the posters were spending entirely too much time on this site. You could look at their posting history and see that they started after breakfast and didn't stop posting until bedtime.
In those cases, and Fattrad was like this, it is probably a good thing. It frees them from an obsession of sorts.
I spend too much time here, myself, but I post on most TR's and try not to be overly combative and call people names.
The Chief was spending too much time here. A shame, because he was a climber who had done a lot of good replacing bolts for the ASCA.
If Werner wasn't Werner, he would be gone in a second. We all know that that wouldn't be right, though.
I try to keep my OT posts on the Religion Vs. Science thread, which is fascinating and full of good stuff. It just doesn't have much to do with climbing. We don't insult each other like the political threads.
