phylp! We will miss you. Sorry you can't make it.

On the bright-side, I got an email tonight from a strong & young Utah climber that brought some fun to our gathering in 2014. He thinks he might be able to fit our party into his schedule.

Fritz, I think I'm going to have to give up my spot... I'm going to have to spend the summer with my ass (mostly) strapped to a desk...

I just updated details in the first post of this thread.

Phylp & Greg! You will be missed, we'll likely remember to drink a toast for each of you!

Other campsites at the city are booking up fast & as I note in the opening post, the 3 camp-sites closely adjacent to our Twin Sisters group camp are now booked.

Our favorite COR Ranger-historian, Kristin, has moved to Missouri, but promises to visit during our get-together.

I'm sorry to report that our Twin Sisters Group Camp just filled up with campers. There still are 22 campsites available at City Of Rocks for nights of June 19 - 23, and another 20 campsites at nearby Smoky Mountain campsite. See my first post of this thread for campsite details.

TradHog: Almo Inn is about 8 miles east near the Park HQ. Amazingly nice place for rural Idaho.

There are also Yurts available at Smoky Mountain campground. See my link in the first post for those.

Princess Heidi & I have tested the Almo Inn on cold fall nights and she is quite happy there.

I just updated campsite availability at COR (9 camps still available) & at nearby Castle Rock State Park's Smokey Mt. Campground (26 camps still available) for nights of June 19-22.

Our Twin Sisters Group Camp remains fully booked, but folks are invited to visit.

Here's a photo of Twin Sisters taken during the Fortieth Parallel Survey. The survey conducted field work from 1867 to 1872.

DMT! I'm glad you picked City of Rocks out from your flight.

Were you on a Bay Area to Chicago flight.

Is your last photo of the Wind Rivers?

Sure there will be fine wines, great food and campfire tales galore and pleasant hikes in riverine streambeds alive with birds but, now keep this to yourselves, there is even a modest amount of climbing in the vicinity.

I updated the first post on the thread just now.

We've had a few dropouts, who will be greatly missed:
Spider Savage, AK Trad & Friend, & Pat Tackle.

However, we can now add 2 more folks to our camp. Anyone want to join?

ImStein & friend will be staying at another camp Mon-Weds nights, so we can also add two more to our camp group for those nights.

Post here or email me, or both.

Please read my first post on this thread, before saying yes!

It looks like our weather pattern has shifted from cold & wet to hot & dry. Hopefully, it will be perfect by June 19th.

Also, Jim & Angela have offered to supply a main course for dinner on Weds night & are looking for folks to help with side dishes. I still have two folks from Orem UT. who have offered to feed the masses on that night too, so we should have a variety of food.

Moose sighting at COR this weekend. They must have heard their hero Moosedrool would soon be there. I am sooooo-not-excited about dealing with grouchy mom-mooses with calves in COR creek bottoms.

But the rainbows were nice this weekend, due to lots of rain. Here's one off the park Facebook site.
