Nice one Jefe!

I particularly enjoy the climbing trip reports where the author rates their own climbs as "5+ stars" or "MEGA-SUPER AWESOME"!!!! There is something to be said for modesty and humility.

The problem with TRs is that people try to make them literature. A good trip report informs us as to something new in the route, the approach, the gear, or whatever.

Reading about climbing is like watching climbing, about as interesting as watching paint dry.

Climbers are more interesting than climbing. That's why this is a climber's forum.

The original post in this thread is a great example.

Gary's point is why I will not likely post too many TR's. I have fun, but I suck at it.

Funny as hell OP tho. Those that can, spray on!

"Hey cat thread - ground up biiaaatcchhh!" Pure gold! ;)

Albatross, as your comment directly quotes things from my posts...when I say something is mega awesome it is not the same as if I said I AM mega awesome. I didn't make this climb. It was there for thousands of years and hopefully will be there for longer. I do my best to make the enjoyable places or routes stick out, so other people visit those places or climb those routes, or their own. There is a big difference between an artist saying his painting is incredible and a climber saying a climb is incredible. Maybe when we will start to chisel holds... :)

I think I've used almost all of those tactics. And I only climb 5.9.

Creative OP Jefe!

However, compared to the daily drivel here, any trip report at all should be welcome.

Cosmic- That 7-10 ft range seems about right.

I was at the zoo once when the King of the Beasts took a shot at my gal and jizz missed. LOL
