The Allfrifi rocks! I got lucky and picked a couple of these up from Skot a few months ago. I have used the Kong adjustable as well as several different fifi,s and this almost feels like cheating...
- buckle and weld are super solid
- webbing seems to be wearing a lot slower than my Yates adjustable daisy
- feels secure when top stepping and have not had it slip at all
- easy to move between the piece your on to the new piece you place
The only warning I give is the obvious one that applies to adjustable Daisys as well...if you weight the allfrifi with the buckle facing something hard, it could open up

pretty slick idea
would it make sense for the bulk to both have a fifi-type attachment point, as well as the normal attachment point? This way the device could be used both for jumaring and for aid-leading.

Nice work.
When I went through my wall climbing phase I came up with a different but in someways similar solution for an adjustable fifi hook. Typically I'd set it to whatever length was appropriate for the angle of a given pitch/wall then leave it alone. It was just barely short enough fully cinched in for dead vertical rock.
However the design really shined for top stepping. By placing the buckle immediately next to harness all I had to do to top step was depress the tab slightly and stand up. I was able to maintain consistent tension in the triangle formed by my harness/piece of gear/feet and topstep on really blank and steep rock with minimal effort.
Cinching up on overhangs was nice as you got a 2-to-1 advantage and it worked well for moving between pieces on traverses as you could again easily release tension.
Connecting it to the harness was a bit of a hassle. The webbing left of the buckle was girth hitched to the waistband of the harness behind the belay loop and I use some hero loops and a small screwlink to connect it to the leg loops.
Some sort of machined shorter fifi connection would have been nice to.

This has been a really fun project, the feed back I've been getting from the testers and first run recipients has been awesome. I'm so stoked to have climbers sending bigwalls with gear I've made!!

Sweet. Welding to the buckle is streamline.
I have been using the same rig, but with the fifi sewn on for years.
Pretty sure one of the Santa Cruz boys was stitching them up for sale.

Mucci, I know a few climbers who ran their fifis like you mention. But were wishing the hooks were closer to the buckle. The webbing linking the buckle to hook would be taped up to make it stiffer. I eliminated both those issues with this design. They have all converted to this system.

This is the only adjustable that's ever intrigued me. How about a pigtail hole?
I think it should be spelled: AllFreeFi
Same pronunciation, just a play on words and the man who's been spreading the idea.
Thanks for sharing, Skot!

Mr Pirate.... It's insane for me to hear this is intriguing to you.
It's been cool developing this gear.
listening to climber wants and issues with what was currently available led me to this design.
A pigtail hole could easily be drilled into any hook should the climber wish to have it. However. It's been found that the pull cord is no liger needed due to the buckle being fixed to the Fifi.
As far as the name... Dave and I talked about it and came to what we did. I wanted daves name to be in the name cause the concept is his, the tweaks and design are mine.

Used this baby up El Cap a couple of times this year. Hot damn is it awesome!
Especially on awkward or steep pitches.

I am definitely on board with this but would also be interested in a modification like Matt mentioned above, so that you could clip it into a jug like a regular Daisy

I'm pretty sure I understand what your asking for Overwatch...
I just can't picture how to do it in a way that wouldn't interfere with the hooking action.

This rig is used in conjunction with 2 regular daisies.
Letting go of the clip in option for the reduction in cinching length is a fair trade.
The fish adj are the longest, Yates come in second, and now we have the allfrifi taking the lead.

What? No hate on this thread yet? Well then I'll start.
Daisies and fifis are for Noobs and South face of The Column first timers. Real wall climbers leave that shite on the ground. Get up in those top steps and quit hangin' on your gear ya Nancies!

Actually those things look killer. Excellent thought and nice execution of the idea. My up thread comment was a joke. I forgot I posted it until I got a text from MH telling me you might not have known I was kidding! Sorry brah!

This thing rocks!!
I just got home from playing around with it at Stoney Point on the aid ladder on the Jesus Wall. While not a challenging aid route it gave me a good opportunity to play with it. I did a couple of aid solo laps with it and really dig it. The buckle is super smooth to operate, smoother than my Yates adjustable daisies. I put a keeper cord on it with a locker to clip in at belays or when resting just in case it slipped off the biner or hanger but I never felt like that was going to happen, it feels very secure and I may have to rethink even using a keeper cord.
This will definitely have me rethinking my aid system and use of daisies, I'd like to hear from others and hear exactly how it's used.
Thanks Skot!!

I used mine on Genesis recently and was very impressed! Being short, I need to be in my top steps a lot. The Allfrifi buckle is smooth as silk, even under tension, allowing me to step up high and still be comfortable.
Loved it!

Haven't gotten one of these slick ones yet (Gonna get an order in soon!) but have been using my own crappy and quickly made adjustable fifi for about a year now. Its def a superior way of doing things up there. Really believe in the system. Thanks for making legit ones Skot!

The Allfrifi ROCKS!
After 18 years, I have cut off my Kong adjustable fifi and permanently replaced it with my Allfrifi. Hows that for design innovation?
Wow!!! That's saying something Pete!!!
The 'design flaws'...
The super short girth hitch loop has been enlarged to allow the threaded buckle to pass through the loop while maintaining the short cinching feature...
I will be experimenting with the angle of the hook in relation to the buckle to eliminate the tendency of wearing the webbing on one side, if needed the hook will be minorly redesigned to eliminate the uneven wearing of the webbing.
The hooks are currently available in both right or left facing hooks.
Place your order now, The current production run is dwindling and the next batch is a few weeks out.

So cool to hear that this thing is seeing some action! So commonly in a sport or a hobby we all think "....If I only had a little thing that....." and we go on and on daydreaming but never make it a reality. Nice work Skot.
Anybody wanna help me with my idea for a spoon/fork that has a camhook and a toilet paper dispenser on it? The "Wall-In-1" is what I'm gonna call it.

I could totally make that a reality.
Thanks everyone for recognizing what it takes to go from concept to reality.
The drive and stoke are real.
