hoipolloi,
That is the lunar belay at the end of the Milky Way pitch. PSD goes to the same belay. BUBS is farther right. Not that any of this matters but I'm pretty sure I'm right on this.

PSD in 2005. p5, p2, p6, top of tower, p7(that 'ledge' is actually a ramp), p11, p13. Very high quality route! Props to Kohl!

Matty - A little bit of both… Fuji Velvia 50 with a not-so-great scanner… I tried to de-saturate the color a little but the reds seem to be a little hot on most of my scans. More Photoshop experience/knowledge would help too.

I notice that Crabman's helmet, in the last photo that Bryan posted, says "Ouch!" on top. I wonder...?

Thats why I did not took the lead dont tell Beau. LOl
It took us three days/trip to the base via death slab (punishment) and 8 hours on the descent. Phew! Good times.

Leaning Tower, Spring 1973. Same tree (how can that be?). Original bolts (scary!) Don Brooks on the lead...

Don Brooks moments after he ripped a chunk of his beard out in the rappel brake setup.

The "Other Don" leading the pitch off the Ahwahnee ledge.

Not a soul to be seen anywhere. Clean ledges. Great experience. Seemed like we had till the end of time to do whatever we wanted in those days.
