Seriously if all of you idiots who start all the Idiot threads don't feel like idiots here's a reminder that I hope you are really idiots and not just acting that way because it would be sad to know that you are serious about all the idiot things that all of the idiots like to idiot about on here and think that this is the best place for your idiocy and that non idiot ppl care about your idiots.

And for the record the Convair R3Y was a pretty bitchin seaplane; fast as all getout.
I was on a PBY that had been converted into a camper, so to speak. It even had big speakers
fitted to the underside of the wings so the owner could buzz some inviting lagoon and hail
the natives:
"I say, my good people, would you terribly mind if we dropped in for spot of tea?"

In 1950 they jammed one full to overflowing with Marines and flew them from Hawaii to North Island. At the end of the flight there was a photo taken of Michele's father sitting on the wing. Still looking for that photo today. He apparently lost his copy.
Six Jeeps, or two Half-Tracks, or 103 fully-equipped troops, or 92 stretchers could be accommodated, or countless other logistics combinations.
