conservatives actually think of women as lesser beings

I don't know who you are talking about. Can't be me! I don't think that.

I call her a witch because she is a she, and she is evil. If she were a he, I'd call her a warlock to be comparable. How you get sexism out of that means that you INTEND to be uncharitable, which is no surprise, as that's the nature of intellectual dishonesty.

Stay with me now: The emphasis is on the EVIL, not the GENDER! I'm just using the gender-appropriate term for evil.

Mmm-kay?

Again I won't vote for either, but

Trump, through his own words, has shown himself to be racist, misogynistic, bigoted, and a demagogue.

Hilary probably illegally put secret emails on her home server. May have tried to minimize the fallout from an embassy attack. Oh yeah that's much worse, lol! It's hard to believe people think that perhaps being dishonest to make yourself look better is way worse than being a total ahole.

I always laugh when the cons use terms like Hillabeast, Obummer, etc. It's like they think using those insulting terms somehow degrades the person they are talking about, when all it does is identifies themselves as a total tool. Not that I'm against comedy at the expense of any politician one either side of the aisle, Bill Clinton was a comedy goldmine for years. But again it's comedy meaning it's funny. Grade school names show the mentality of the user, not the person being called the name. It shows the person can't be reasoned with. They have their mind shut like steel trap to any other way of looking at things.

cosmiccragsman: You were the guy who told me that you "knew much much more" than me about the ideals the troops for in WW II, while refusing to view the film series commissioned by the U.S. Army to educate those who served.

I asked you to enlighten me with your wisdom. You ran away and hid like you always do when challenged, so I guess you've got an idea how much your nomination means to me..

madbolder1: witches and warlocks are most definitely NOT evil, assuming you are referring to those who are Wiccans. Whether it conflicts with your value system (assuming you have any) or not, Wicca is a nature worshipping belief system that specifically rejects evil behaviour. I'm far from an expert on this stuff, but I encourage anyone who respects the truth to do their own research and form their own opinions.

I almost think that Trump is either a democrat plant, or the media is hyping him to assure the democrat victory.
Anti-establishment populism has overtaken a republican party that got out of touch with almost everyone. Republicans are the stupid party and their chickens are coming home to roost.

I don't see Trump as a racist, that word means absolutely nothing anymore.
He is all NY bluster, rifting off the top of his head and taking advantage of the populist and anti-Politically Correct sentiment of the working middle class.

If Bernie gets the nomination, all bets are off on what will happen. The democrat and republican establishments may run 3rd or 4th candidates, knowing that Bernie or Trump are wildcards.
Romney, Bloomberg, Biden, Kerry?

Tomorrow will be the big tell on where it all goes.

The newspapers misheard what Trump said, about the David Duke fiasco. Listen to him in the videos. He said
"I'm sitting in a house in Florida, with a very bad hairpiece that they gave me, and you could hardly hear what he was saying," said Trump.

Hillary has been completely cleared of any negligence whatsoever relative to Benghazi. The victims families should congratulate her for her service to the country as an outstanding Secretary of State. And they should resist being political pawns of the radical rightwing.

Residents of California can rest easy that she will carry the state by 10+ points.

She is exactly the evil necessary to combat the bigotry of the now fringe right gop - you don't send a creampuff into a knife fight, you send the nastiest, castrating bitch around.

One fact lots of you ignore; repub turnout has been record breaking in every state so far while the dem turnout has been low. Now, how exactly does that translate into a Hildabeast win in the general?

well, let me see if I can help you with an explanation to your question, Rick

you see, all of the media attention is on the Republican show right now with four
candidates versus two for the Democrats

secondly, for a long time now most everyone following this thing knows that Hillary Clinton will be the nominee, Sanders has no chance, and so there is no contest to excitedly talk about day and night like there is with your Republicans

thirdly, all the bing, all the talk is about Republican Donald Trump, people hear about him constantly, they are curious and he has excited and pulled out of the woodwork
a new Republican demographic, the white, male, undereducated group, he speaks to them and their language and they are turning out to vote for him at the primaries

But you know as well as I do Rick that only one thing truly matters and that is that you have to have 270 votes in the Electoral College to become President, the national popular vote does not matter at all, what matters is the target rich high population individual states and how many Electoral Votes they deliver.

And one other thing Rick, the path to 270 is actually pretty easy for Mrs. Clinton
and almost impossible nowadays for a Republican.....so better move to Canada because you will have to suffer through 8 years of a woman after 8 years of a black President, pull your pants up, you can do it

Obama possibly wouldn't have been elected if it wasn't for Sara Palin (and W). I think McCain was the best Republican nominee in years.

Hillary wouldn't be elected after 8 years of Obama if it wasn't for Trump (or Cruz).

The takeover of the GOP by the demagogic right has got them what they deserve.

If you think the right hate Obama, wait until the 90s hate of Hilary is restored and multiplied by 10. I can see how Obama's mannerisms come off as smug, but Hillary can come off as way more irritating for some reason. Be prepared for more red faced ranting and irrational hate. It's going to get even uglier.

I like Rubio's latest attack on Trump:
"You Know What They Say About Men With Small Hands, You Can't Trust Them"

LOL!

Austin Powers: There are only two things in this world that scare me and one is nuclear war.
Basil: What’s the other?
Austin Powers: Huh?
Basil: What’s the other thing that scares you?
Austin Powers: Carnies. Circus folk. Nomads, you know. Smell like cabbage. Small hands.

You don't get it do you summer? The repubs are voting for trump hoping he does get the nod, because there is no way he will beat a dem. trump does not have the support of any minority, furthermore, many repubs will turn tail and vote for a dem in the ge. Remember, sixty to seventy percent of repubs don't like trump. I would be surprised if Jeb doesn't vote for a Hillary.

Well Norton, it's a populist election against the status quo. That percentage has and will turnout. Now, who the hell can get excited about turning out for an old gas bag from the establishment past? She certainly hasn't motivated the population yet. That is her problem and she's not showman enough to entertain her way out of it.

James Brennan's analysis of the "Why We Fight" films is simple-minded at best, as is his ignorance of the real causes of WW II - not to mention an insult to the intelligence of those who served in that conflict.

Perhaps he could start another thread to explain these amazing assertions in greater detail without cluttering up this one. It would be better if he actually read a few history books first, though.

As for his deranged non-sequiturs...????

rick sumner: so the solution is to vote for a racist, misogynistic bully like Trump? Great idea. Let's not even consider the lesser of two evils if Bernie goes.

James Brennan's analysis of the "Why We Fight" films is simple-minded at best,

Well, we all know that James Brennan guy is a total loser who couldn't tell a good film from a bad one, and has never climbed anything anyway, so that settles that.

But since you, with your vast knowledge of both politics and film, are posting tonight, I should ask how you view "Why We Fight" in comparison to "Triumph of Will". They're pretty similar in some ways, don't you think?
