Got to hang out with Ron and Bridwell during the Gilje Fest. Ron is a class act and it was a pleasure spending some time with him.

Wayno, I don't believe we ever got that salsa, which is what began it all!!!!
And what you said about Oakdale..."shining times," still, after all these years.

Ron, before I forget, thanks for bringing The Bird on that occasion.

And here is a special photo for you from Lynnie, who hasn't posted here yet.

So, while we are waiting for Lynne to drag herself to the computer, who has some slanderous stories about Mr. Gomez?

Crickets.....

Someone has to have some slander or other tales of debochery, yarding, drilling on rappel, chipping holds, involvment in the Jardine traverse or something.

You guys are too much! My head is so fat right now, I need someone to insert a pin to deflate it. Eric....Johntp(a true friend) is kidding in good humor. I can slander the schit outa myself, like when me and Bridwell cuddled up in The Valley on a rainy night, scorned to a lonely CG to only ourselves! Guess the rest. Or that the OP, Fonda uses me as slave labor as well as his liqour cabinet, but I have a man crush on him, so I tolerate it. I wish Bachar was around, he'd spray some crap.
I wish my wife would post up....she'd give the low down smack crap on me! She is the reason I am, who I am.
Peace

Yeah Ron, Tucker and I have joked about you and your girlfriend (Bridwell).

I was recently told on a job site that Tucker and I have been working for several months that we were like an old married couple.

Don't feel too bad.

Looking forward to your next trip! Maybe we can get Stahl and Evans down as well.

Since we are now looking for scandal, I wrote a short poem for Ron.

This has nothing to do with Ron's wife. This is just pure dirt:

I've got a green plastic woman
I have to blow up from the leg

I've got a green plastic woman
Who's got moss between her legs

I've got a green plastic woman
Now I have to beg

I decided not to go much further because I don't want to get banned from the site.

Wonderful Thread.......

So glad work was a little slow today so I could check in and discover this gem. (Would love to post more but we are internet challenged at TPR.)

What a serendipity. Ron arrived at TPR this morning for breakfast on his way to participate in the traditional Indian walk from Yosemite Valley to Tuolumne Meadows.

Here's my story. After Dan died, I was invited to a climbing gathering in JTree. I decided to attend tho I was a bit terrified after not seeing our climbing friends in many years. My daughter Amy, bless her, came with me.

As we walked into the event someone (Ron)said Hi, how are you? He introduced himself and when he found out who we were he said he had climbed with my husband and had fun doing the Corona Del Mar sandstone with Dan. Ron then invited Amy and I to join him in his salmon dinner with great salad, asparagus and delicious wine regaling us with stories about Dan that meant so much to us.

We became great friends and Kelly and I are having a camp out this week here in the Eastside. God is good in providing special friends when we really need them.

Cheers and Love to Kelly and Ron.

Ron and I have been climbing for over thirty five years now. Yikes, we are getting old Ron. A truer friend, climbing partner and person cannot be found. I look forward to seeing you again soon, my friend.

Can't believe this has not gone further. Only met Ron once when I drove down to give him some old rigid friends for Todd's Xmas present.

Stand up guy and always centered. Had no clue he is a stalwart climber from BITD.

Cheers Ron

I mentioned a little of this in my prior post, but since it was life changing for me I thought I'd mention it again.

Ron was my bridge back to the climbing community after Dan died. His kindness to my daughter Amy and I at the Stone Masters get together in JTree (2008?) was instrumental in opening the door to a whole new life for me. Thank you Bro, for including me climbing, intros into the community and also Bachar's Memorial which will result in the book (we could still use a publisher) "Tuolumne Climber". A forever friend along with his wonderful wife Kelly who also has become a forever friend! Cheers to Gomez....and then I need to give a shout out to Robert Fonda (rlf) who was our great cohort in the crime of too much fun! lynnie

Whoa, I like that phrase "the crime of too much fun".....and yes we all did commit it!
