Some of this I know is junk and will end up in the metal bin. If anything here interests you PM me and let's work something out.

IF any of it sells I will donate proceeds to a non-profit that's helping to save sharks. Or save cowbells.

Nice stuff. I'm in for the Robbins biner and the funky old belay device.

They aren't cracked are they? Use my work email as my home email still fritz's regularly.

edit: WTF is that silver blob?

edit2: the black belay device, not the figure 8. I still have those coming out of the couch cushions.

Well it appears PMs are bouncing but I think I fixed it.

So the bongs.... I'll probably keep the one lower right in the photo. That was given to me by a guy named John Stewart - my undergrad advisor. He climbed in Yosemite in the late 60's. Royal Robbins flared that bong which was part of John's rack.

I have heard back from the Mazamas and they already have these, so withdrawing my offer, good luck with the sale Nature. Where's poster roots - he's always a buyer.

Just let me know what to do about payment, etc.

More cow bell, I've got a fever…
You should have chucked those T-tons off the cliff back in the seventies like the rest of us? Or did you just happen to find them at the base of some climb...

Shameless plug^^^

Edit: Yeah, johntp, I unloaded my camper at the Winslow Wall while we were developing that place on the weekends. It got vandalized, shot full of holes and burned to the ground, along with a mature juniper tree. A real warm welcome . . .

Dale - noted. bongs reserved.

Rich - if you'd like the metal blob i'll happily send it to you. The camper served as well during our dev time. Honestly as i look back those couple summers were some of the best times of my life. Glad your girl and my girl live out there forever.

Looks like they are fixing up the MP page on WW. Nice to see Sex Machine downrated at 11c. Maybe because I lowered the anchor one bolt?

And if you happen to get out there any time soon would you mind visiting Ms. Summits spot and let me know if her collar is still in place? I need to return sometime soon. Maybe next year.

Miller - exactly where i found them. did you toss them there?

Roots - no worries on the holster. Not sure it'll work for misterE as it's pretty small and he actually wants to put it to use.

john, yeah... no... not a funny story really at all. i suppose we asked for it because what else would you expect from winslow redneck locals?

so is that what anyone can expect if they go to Winslow wall or is there a personal situation involved in the truck attack? Was the vehicle loaded with gear?
nature

Topic Author's Reply - Jul 27, 2015 - 08:42am PT
no that's not what to expect. though there was gear in the camper it had more to do with it being unattended for an extended period of time.

of the many many dozens of times we've been camped out there we have not had one problem.

Have you thought about sending the John Middendorf thing back to, you know, John Middendorf?

Nope. Because he sent it to me!

I chat with John on Facebook all the time (mostly about our shared UAV interest at this point). I had helped him out with some ebay stuff a while back so he sent me a thank you package. Pretty sure he doesn't want it back.

and yeah, just one crampon. A buddy of mine who doesn't know anything about climbing thought I might be able to find a home for it. It's a neat piece but I'm just not interested in collecting stuff like this. It's now reserved for you, Brian.
