I saw there was a huge rock fall off of Clouds Rest that looked like it took out parts of "My Favorite Things". There is a report on Rock and Ice's page. It happened a couple days ago I think?

It looked like it started at the very top.
Trundlers?
It also looked kinda tiny to me on the video.
Like just one block rolling down and turning into dust on the way.

That ledge coming in above quarter domes looks so fun.

Has anyone been down Teneya Canyon and seen what condition "My Favorite Things" is in?
Hopefully rock fall doesn't obliterate anymore routes I wanted to do this year.

With all the recent rain Tenaya canyon probably won't see too many visitors

At least for a day till it all drains. Sooner if Tom Selleck can get
his tanker truck in there.

any news about "my favorite things" ?
My partner and I had planned to do it a few weeks ago, before the rockfall, and we're considering going down to check it out this weekend.
Would be nice to know if it was seriously damaged or not.

Based on a comparison of the more recent photos of the rockfall, which Rock & Ice published online, with my own photos and others on the web, I think the route was probably not affected by this rockfall.
The photo posted above shows the dust over the route after the wind has had time to blow it up-canyon.
My Favorite Things takes a line below the line of trees leading to the top, visible in both photos, and eventually you hike up through the line of trees. When I say "top" I don't mean the summit, because the route ends well below and east of the summit. The rocks fell from below the summit.
Someone's got to go find out. Might as well be you.

It's been a while ... still ... many have been up My Favorite Things since the rock fall, myself included. The route seems the same as it was before the rock fall.
