I've supplied gear. Just to get them hooked...
Edit: but seriously, are there any "cottage" suppliers still out there?
Edit 2: Cold Cold World comes to mind.

Second for Misty Mtn.
I bought my first MM Cadillac in 2000, another every couple years since then. They have made some nice small improvements along the way without messing it up. Car companies could learn from that.

How about Fixe Hardware?
Small business in Bishop Ca. owned by a climber, Kevin Daniels. He also has a good publishing operation making guidebooks. The books are really nice with the added bonus that they won't fall apart when you open them.

Kevin let me try out a set of the Fixe Aliens. Excellent gear. He's also a supporter of the ASCA.

Hey, be nice:-) There's gonna be a lot of plugging going on here, kind of what the op asked for actually. Multinational?

Johntp, I have a lightly used Jrat harness that I've got too porky to use. It's for 32" waist kind of person, I'd guess. Let me know if you'd like to have it.

Cold cold world still around?
Wild things?
Western Mountaineering has the best bags I've used.
Misty Mountain is my next harness purchase, bar none!
Blue water ropes are the SH#T!
BUY LOCAL! Or not. I don't work in the industry anymore, lulz.

Speaking of Theron/Moses
He's got a great list of smaller shops on his last web page
http://www.mosesclimbing.com/?page_id=80
others
Mountain Tools in Carmel, Ca
International Mountain Equipment in North Conway NH.
Backcountry in Truckee has a great back country ski selection and some climbing stuff.
Your Favorite Climbing Gym may have a good selection.
Pacific Edge in Santa Cruz. If you're a member you'll get a discount.
Sunrise Mountain Sports in Livermore, CA
Teton Mountaineering in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Go there late summer and they've got a big sale on the summer stuff.
Somebody must've already mentioned Wilson's Eastside Sports in Bishop. They have just about everything you could need.
There are two shops in Moab but I wasn't too impressed with either. Maybe because I was in a hurry.
