hey there say, here is another link, mouse...
http://www.volcanodiscovery.com/da/calbuco/news/22april2015/major-eruption.html
quote from here:
Missing excursionist feared dead returned safe
Update Thu 23 Apr 20:10
The 21 y-o mountaineer who was missing and feared victim of the eruption has survived and has been rescued, fortunately. Together with a small group of friends, he was on excursion on the mountain when the eruption occurred last night.
During their escape, he decided to stay behind because of cramps and then lost his way, forced to spend the night in the forest, until he could make phone contact with his family this morning.

How stupid are the people that live near those volcano's. I'd judge on
the Pompeii Scale of Stupidity 9.1 out of 10.0.

Excellent ^^^ riposte!
I lived much of my stupid life near prime targets for nukes. Mather, McClellan, and Castle AFBs; Port Hueneme Naval Station; not to mention the earthquake-endangered East Bay.
All those big ones dropping on me and shaking my house down--you live where there's employment, etc., keeping your fingers crossed.

Major catastophe.
It appears I'm stuck in Buenos Aires for the duration.
The same flight I'm supposed to take out on Sunday was cancelled for today, and I'm pretty sure that will go on until the eruptions subside.
Doomed to another week of Bífe de Choriso y Malbec. Only two craft breweries within walking distance.
Pray for me.
A Portlandian stuck in Porteñolandia. Maybe I'll rent an apartment.

Looks like Calcubo is messing up travel in a wide area of Argentina.
From BBC news yesterday.
Neighbouring Argentina has also put emergency measures in place for the city of Bariloche - about 100km from Calbuco - where ash clouds are expected.
NBC News tonight showed a picture of the closed Bariloche airport, and mentioned both Delta & American had suspended all flights to Argentina due to ash hazards.

Too late for that news. Add United to the cancelations list. Bariloche has a pretty heavy ash covering, as does Neuquen, and some in Bahía Blanca, from the local broadcasts.
BA just has a grey cap. I can tell something is in the air, but when smoke from Siberian forest fires hit Portland a year or so ago I started sneezing a day before the reports came out.
Outdoor cafes are full and hopping.

Maybe we need a few more volcanoes to go off?
Enough ash up in the air could cool us down a bit and alleviate the drought in California.....
Less planes flying around eating up natural resources and creating more greenhouse gasses.....

Just what we need seven billion on the planet and crop failures for three years like the year without a summer. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_Without_a_Summer
Besides, in the old days we took a boat which took 3 weeks. No way that was more efficient.
Latest news is there was a third eruption. The earthquakeologists here think there is a worse one coming.
I'm a Porteño again, it seems.
Thank god for electronic banking.

Maybe Earth decided to cool herself down.
But aren't there some emerging correlations between solar activity and major volcanism?

In my mind, Buenos Aires ain't as cool as Portland, but it's not the worse place to be stranded.

Nah, man. No Porteño does that unless they are in the tourist business. My cabbie was playing AC-DC and the shops play Boney M. ( rivers of Babylon)
To show you how bad the air is, last night Independiente players were sporting n-95 masks during their match.
