If you haven't had an epic yet and you continue to climb, there's one in your future.

uhhh no..don't think so.
I do remember a friend who thought we had an epic once.. but nothing really happened and we were not even particularly uncomfortable.. a little thirsty for a couple hours.

A ladder? The little twit was only 13 ft up. They didn't need a ladder, just someone to say "Jump! We'll catch you."

Yep ,,, a rescue team should have ladder.
A rescue team without a ladder is stooopid.
A ladder works in many places where all that other sh!t doesn't ....

I jumped, spraining my ankle, and then soaked it in a nearby stream before walking more than a mile back to town.
I went to work the next day totally crippled. No problem.

from a camp about twelve miles out, below a 12k+ we humped huge loads to a point many k's and six miles further out,
dropped loads beneath the next objective and raced x-country for the trailhead. no trail, swampy deadfall riven hell many miles till trailmerge.
bivied face down in the dirt a mile short of the van mostly 'cuz my buddy shared it with a dog and a simulated epic might count for sumpin'

Ok, so like there I was all into The 100 on Netflix. I'm like totally sucked in by the end of season one and then it's like BAM! Season 2 denied! So I'm all no way! But way. So I was seriously bummed but then I was searching like on the Internet and found out you could get Hula or Hola or something and connect like you're from Canada and BOO-YA! Take that! Full on Season two for Netlfix Canada and I was like rockin it. But it was close there for a while. I still shudder when I think about it.

Some test their mettle on roadside rocks or artificial difficulty, and call that climbing.
Some have difficulties, and call it an epic.
Epics happen on mountains.
Epics involve a weather change.
Epics must include the eminent threat of death.
Mini-epics are actually great fun, especially in retrospect.
It's when you truly meet your climbing partner.
To have never had even a mini-epic sounds kind of sad, like you missed a vital and stimulating part of the climbing experience.
It's not too late!
Find a random partner on the C4 kiosk board, and head out.
Do something way over your head, bite off more than you can chew.
Then come back and tell us about it.
That shizz is gold.
