Sniffing lead solder fumes can cause that down feeling. Either that or you have contracted Owens Valley Fever - a lethal concoction of fungal spores spawned from year old Mule Days poop mixed with the gas fume blowby of Mammoth tourists topped off with Schott's bakery flour residue that blankets the town on calm days.

Are you happy the North won the Civil War here?
I am, but some southerners are not happy after all these years, and are still trying to win the Civil War by political means.
In leaner times, I worked for a Florida-based company back in the late 1980's/early 90's. The management folks, who were mostly Auburn grads, loved to get drunk after company meetings and sing Dixie in a reverent manner. Their politics were right-wing, and they hated blacks and Yankees.
I survived at the job for a few years, because I needed the money, did a good job, the ex-wife was from the SE, and I could talk in Southern-twang to those very-strange folks.
The south has risen again, as todays Republican party.
