Pretty cool - I have always wanted to do this trip.

He's in Machu Picchu today, Day 2.

We rode on the front of the narrow gauge engine to Machu Picchu with IMAX camera mounted on the front of it..

What's the rush to do it in 13 days?

Seems like a rush job with no soul. American tourist itinerary.

When I lived in DC, I had a friend tell me she saw the whole place, did everything, in two days. I knew how incredibly wrong she was.

When did Macchu Picchu get on the seven Wonders list?

The original list was compiled before the New World was discovered.

Don't get me wrong. I saw it at age 5 and the experience is seared in my brain. It put the idea of mountains and climbing in my head ( along with stuff near Bariloche).

Yeah, Lorenzo - there is only one of the "ancient" 7 Wonders left, the pyramids at Giza.

Sects get mad and destroy the past symbols they don't like.

Lesson: Make it super labor-intensive!
