Homan, vacation is over....I'm headed back to North Dakota for a couple months of toil. Next break won't be until the end of Feb. Ah well, that's the price we agreed to pay for relative affluence.
Wish me luck.

Look on the bright side... If you had to put in those horrible 14-hour days seven days a week in some place with a view of the mountains, or with good rock or good skiing right close by, you'd go crazy.

Well, crazier.

Take care of your mind and body as best you can.

Well, oil prices ARE falling, so work could be "on the rocks" at anytime. Fortunately, I've been saving just in case. I could weather a shut down for a while, anyway. It's not like they're gonna stop using oil very soon, so I got that going for me at least.
Halfway there. It's a longer commute than most folks have. Lol.
Thanks for the good send off. I'll be lurking(mostly) on my phone anyway.

Just had my holiday, Mike. I'll be slaving 6 day weeks until the last half of Feb. I'd damn sure hit it in the Springtime though.

Drive fast and take chances, yes!

But keep yer head on a friggin' swivel, Cap; driving those rigs on that schedule in that environment's got to be at least as sketch as some wall, eh?

Be safe, is all.

Yeah, but Heidi prolly has a million dollar life insurance policy on you.

It goes back to the theatrics good luck send-off before going on-stage: "break a leg!" -------combined with our mutual back-ground in high-risk sports.

I will always cherish the 1976 climbing buddy that uttered: "See you in Hell", as I was starting a rappel with an uncertain finish, off Bugaboo Spire.

I've employed both farewells whenever it appears that they might bother a climber or boater friend.
