This is welcome news and the Brower Award is entirely appropriate in recognition of so many years of patient and steady work by Ken and the YCA both historically and in public relations work with the NPS through the Facelift event every year.
Ken is finally getting the support and formal recognition that he has earned from his ongoing archiving and conservation efforts.
Three Cheers!!!

Was so psyched and honored to be at the dinner last night -- Thank you, Ron!!!
I had hoped to surprise Ken, but I blew it by posting on FB (smacks forehead -- lol). Meant a great deal to me to be able to congratulate him for all of the work he has done on behalf of YNP through FaceLift, building bridges between the Park and climbing community, while at the same time, tirelessly working to preserve its unique climbing history.
Also wonderful to meet his beautiful Schree!
Maybe we can persuade him to post a few pictures... ")

I've already posted a photo of my beautiful ball python.
You guys need to give Aud a break. She is still learning the culture and the vernacular.
So I finally met Ken saturday evening, and promptly introduced him to the creator of five (six?) climbing museums. Ken will, when properly set up, get the spare bat tent from the WEML.
But Herr Messner was very interested in Warren's Stubai pin hammer and his home made figure 8 descender. I also have some other items.
