Just ramping up here, Trad. I don't much care for Chicken Little, but certainly a substantial coastal event. We've already seen gusts over 60mph, viz sucks, and it looks to last about 18-24 hrs.
Low moisture content for us, though, so less damage predicted than for the Mass cape or Chiloe's backyard.

Helluva storm surge, too.
Surf's up!

Heading out now to swoop and dart on the flanks of Rendezvous Mt. It has been bullet proof in the am, softening later. Reminds me of NH on a good day. I ran the SnoGlide over our skis so it will be fun cruising with honed skis. SnoGlides are dakine and they make a home version. I kept mine from my Rossi days. A really great tool ifin' you ski all conditions. As we said growing up in NH, if its white we'll ski on it.

Skiers and climbers are a passionate bunch eh?

Heading out to Montana and Wyoming this week to escape this hell in California. We're finally expecting rain this weekend up to 10,000 feet!!!!!!!!!!! WTH!!!!!!!!!!!!! What little snow we have is about to get washed away by 50 degree water from an atmospheric river, we're toast as skiers.
