Ok, not as gruesome as some I see here, but I offer it to prove I don't just sit on my ass and can still hurt myself.

Popped a nubbin and fell about 15 feet onto a flake. I still finished the pitch and brought my partner up so we could rap off. The flap exposed the patelar tendon, causing everybody ( including the surgeon at Mammoth hospital ) who looked at it to give an involuntary "ewww"

The surgery cost $14k. My Kaiser copay was $30.

I'll probably need more work on it. I straightened my leg out at the Theatre last week and turned heads for about 20 ft from the popping noise.

Sailing can be rather dangerous at times. Shark bite? No. 9mm hollow point from the opposite side. Long story..............

Reil, Guido was in a bar in I think Ala Wai marina area, (HI) probably sipping his favorite Shirley Temples with extra grenadine when up and came a gunfight between two drug dealers, completely close by. Guido of course had nothing going on with these characters. But he got hit badly, spent a TON of time rehabbing but could still make The Movies. Very very bad experience for him, seeing that he is but a tender white boy from Albany, CA.

And anyway, Pilgrims, none of you have much to show once we get a look at poor Scotty C.

You gotta love staples!

This was what was in there minus 10 steel pins which they wouldn't give me at the surge center because they said they were too sharp.

BTW, the French replaced the barrier I crashed into which caused all my injuries(this was one of six broken bones three of which ended up being plated).

Not as dramatic as those above,

Both elbows have been operated on, both with Medial Epicondylitis. Pretty much the same procedure was done, but separated by five years. The Epicondylites were both 'enlarged' and shaved, the tendons 'eased', old scar tissue excised.

Great results in both instances. Cost. It's the UK, there was no charge. I've also had a similar op done on my right knee. No charge, My son Tim has just come out of hospital for the second time having had an recurrent Osteochondroma removed from his femur. No charge. I've had my tonsils removed and a Septoplasty and Turbinate reduction. No charge.

If I lived in the US I'd probably be bankrupt.........

I envy much about the US, but not your medical processes (It's not health 'care' is it!)

I sliced one of my gonads in half when a Circular Saw kicked back off a flexy 1x4 I was ripping for a trim board. No picks since I don't want to be banned. But I will say that the Doc at the Oakhurst Clinic had to Google how to stitch a nut sack back together. He ultimately settled on the Tommy LaSorda method using what he called the "baseball stitch".

It worked. My underwear still fits but I do tighten up whenever I hear someone play "Take me out to the Ball Game"!

YEAH !! what the crushed Crustacean said^^^^^^^Limping Crab,

I asked a doctor who fixed up my crushed (heal), back in the day, if I could get the pictures or videos?
His name is Walther Bohne and very German is he, so 'nhine' was all he would say.

This is what Wiki, pedia, says about heal fractures

Calcaneus; The calcaneus is the most frequently fractured tarsal bone. Tarsal bone fractures account for about 2% of all adult fractures. Of these, 60% are calcaneus fractures.
Mine was impacted and the sub talus bone was flipped, the first time it was successfully done, yeah Walther Bohne. I was able to dance at my wedding.
Approaches and descents suck but as long as the big toe holds up climbing up to 5.12 is still in the cards.

Another doctor was Andy Farmer, he prefers Andrew I think.
He said over drinks, Single malt scotches,
"it was the last Mid evil, evil double, fixation I did".
So "no" no-way was he proud to show that,
(my neck, not his)

when it comes to my knees well lets just say that they will need more fixing so thats that.

On all my scares I have rubbed 'em and sanded to at least bring them to the right hue,
Although in cold winter temperatures every thing, that has been worked on turns a sweet shade of blue.Seeing this below V V V V V V V I'm gonna delete before my wife gets any Ideas, Merk daddy WINS V V V
