So glad you are okay Jay! Heal fast and it is a good thing you don't need a nose for climbing wide cracks

Had a follow up with my plastic surgeon, over there in Grand junction yesterday. He said it looked good, the stiches heals, everything is retaching, no necrosis etc
Audible sigh of relief.

Off to scare middle school kids in the morning!

JayBro, just got the story with your nose and grapefruit rock collision.
The nose looks terrible, but you looks kinda happy. Probably smiling was painful - otherwise you would smile?
Best wishes for quick recovery.
It is true - the the nose - the last thing you need for climbing. For some flares like Harding slot - you need to fully heal it before go- since the nose can bend there.

We need a TR of your trip to Middle School. Were the kids suitably impressed?

I ended up telling the whole story, at least once, to each of the classes and to the principal, and to three of my other teacher friends... Good thing it was an early out day :)

Oh and to Penelope, the front desk lady...

I'm getting the story pretty practiced. I've got versions for climbers and non climbers, short outline and extended version...
