Electric Blue.

I remember the first time I did that one I was on top and I yelled down to my partner I though it was .11d. Kevin Powell and his partner were walking up to do it. We were back at the base when Kevin topped out. Then, in his characteristic voice, down came ".11d? .11d my ass. That ain't no stinkin' .11d!"

He wasn't sure it even rated .11a...

Not yet mentioned is "Walk on the Wild Side." Maybe not a "best of the best," but by any standard, a classic.

Yes, CS Special is a favorite. The start is really fun.
The approach is tough though.

Run for Your Life is good, Solid Gold is better, and Figures on a Landscape is great. Still this adventure remains one of my favorites.

I hadn't climbed in JT enough to have a favorite and certainly nothing as specific as a face climb...

I only remember making attempts at a 12+ something on the backside of a formation I don't know the name of. 6 or 8 slashes make their way to chains stationed some maybe 40" off the deck. Big moves are what I remember along with the space between the slashes in the wall and how few of them there were. (At this point I think I have to say that my memory of this climb at this point is such a distant memory that all of these details may be incorrect).

I was able to take about four attempts at the thing before I stopped trying... it was not as important to me as it was my friend Tom.
looking sketchy there...
