It was long overdue, and since I am off work for awhile, figured I would have it done.
Pretty uncomfortable right now.
Any idea on when I will feel better, and be able to breath again through my nose?

I coulda just punched you in the nose, and handed you a 40 of OE and we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

Breathing in a week or so, but I felt it for a good six weeks when my heart rate got up. The worst part was being able to smell. I hadn't done that in so many years that I thought the joke "she thinks her poo don't stink" was funny because no one could smell their own. Boy was I mistaken.
I began to understand people who had just got hearing aids and kept turning them down. Some things you just don't want to smell and you cant turn it down.
I also found myself following my nose, because I had no idea what some smells were and had to learn all over again.

Thanks.
I couldn't sleep last night, and my nose is still bleeding.

Procedure was on Friday, the packing stayed in Saturday and Sunday and was removed on Monday. I had no pain. The only discomfort - which could more accurately be called an inconvenience - was having my nose filled with gauze for two days. After the packing was removed the difference in ability to inhale through my nose was amazing. Prior to the surgery it was like trying to suck motor oil through a cocktail straw. After surgery - it was like inhaling through an aperture the size of, I don't know, a golf ball. Mo more headaches the surgery was done 17 years ago and I haven't had a problem since. I can't say how you will recover but after the packing was taken out it was back to normal living.

Having the packing removed is a bizarre experience. Take your sense of humor with you.

I seem to recall it taking 7-10 days for my bro-in-law to recover. Can't recall how long he was literally in bed, but it was a while. Got him an etch-a-sketch to play with.
