Not the topic Big Mike, that's about as frivolous as you can get. Its the mentality behind the resurrection that's the issue here. (As I'm sure you know!)

Weege had some quality word play and you deleted it therefore he resurected it. Can you really fault him for that? It's an old game, played with many a serial deleter..

You are not the first my friend. Nor will you be the last.

Quality, Mike, is in the eye of the beholder. As the initiator of the thread, I'm that beholder. If some (dubious) quality went with the deletion, that is, as they say, the nature of the beast. (As Supertopians are constantly reminding me)

Why don't all you guys post your own thread? Then you can all go wanking till your hearts content, what's more, you won't have to go through the mind numbing process of rehashing one of mine.

I delete my threads because I'm finished with them. I don't won't to see them come back. Is that plain enough, or do you need a few beers to clear your heads.

I think that is exactly what Norwegian is doing here Avery, posting his own thread. Looks like he successfully captured the essence of his words from the one you deleted, so in that sense, you were unsuccessful in deleting his words. But to be clear here, this is not your thread. You deleted the one you started, you don't have a thread. This is Norwegians, and if you don't want to see it that's an easy thing: just don't click it.

Good luck.

PS, to answer your other question: Yes, starting a thread just like one someone deleted is ethical. Have you never had someone restart a conversation on a subject you started that was already fairly well rehashed?

Yes, but that doesn't mean we're through with it!! When you give it to us, you do not retain title to it!

Ok, I can almost remember the Traffic Zone. Somehow lost in the 1970s fog. It was 60's cartoon thing.

Avery,
Before we escape high school we are forced to play hacky-sack. It is forbidden to say 'sorry'. If you say 'sorry' then you are pelted. This is right and just as nobody likes a simp.

Wow, most people try to hide their selfishness.

This is an interesting exchange between j tree and myself on March 5, 2014

j tree: Sorry Avery. Just finished rereading ms55401's post and my comments were based upon a complete misreading and misremembering of his post combined with piton pete's post. Basically, it was hot in my truck when I was posting on my phone and I messed up. My bad

Avery: No worries, J-tree. My track record for making mistakes on Supertopo in the last couple of months has been woeful.

j tree: Not my first and def not my last. I'm just glad people are stoked on big-wall stuff. Lots of half-assed interest out there, but not a lot of interest in the minutia. +1 to Avery

We ALL make mistakes.

Such a lovely exchange, I really like the consolatory coming togetherness of it. I liked reading it.

I quoted it in case it no longer serves your purposes in the future and you decide to delete it.

As I said (on other threads) I've apologized for my thread deletions. Upon a lot of refection, and a lot of going through old posts, I've decided it was wrong to delete them. This is an unconditional apology.

Sorry about that old thread exchange, j tree, I wasn't thinking straight when I posted it.

The irony is, I really would like to delete that old exchange, but, alas I'm sure someone would only go and re-post it!
