The new update seems to have resolved some of the copy and paste issues with my iPad Air that were introduced with 8.0, also

The copy and paste problems on my iPad have not been resolved. There are also problems with posting photos from library.

My guess is there will probably be another update soon. Maybe more than one.

Why are you not surprised at how well the new operating

I still can't get Traffic on my 4s since the 8.0.0 fiasco and I've seen
nobody else bitch about that on the Apple forum which is a complete waste
of time as it is nothing but bitching with no constructive suggestions whatsoever.
When this contract is up it is gonna be an Android fo sho. The new Crackberry
looks quite good but for $700? Really? No wonder they're taking on water.

How do you download 8.02. Also I have a Iphone 5 something or other. Just really annoyed that I can no longer post photos. Also can ST please please please let us turn our photos after loading on the site. That is a problem with my home computer and iphone that would seem to be an easy fix. I also see a lot of other people have that problem as well.

Check your APN (Access Point Name) settings to make sure it's updated and current.

Sometimes it loses it's settings and needs to be updated.

Mike, download a free version of Faststone photo editor. You could also
send him $20 for it if you want. It is well worth it and easy to use.
Even though I have Lightroom and Photoshop I use it for quick viewing,
doing simple edits, rotating images, and re-sizing.

Werner, thanks, I will check that out.

Now my iPAD is freezing (twice now) in the post field on this site ---resulting in my losing both posts by having to do a shutdown.
I have never had this happen before with this iPad.

The freezes occurred on the reply post field of another thread. They both happened on relatively long posts at least 5 minutes into the reply.
As of now I am experiencing cut and paste issues, photo posting issues and now text freezes.
Never had any of these problems before 8.0 and 8.1 and 8.2 updates.

There should be an additional update coming along soon. Just guessing. Lol

Not so sure. I complained of several of these issues when I "upgraded" to IOS8 and received denial and hostility from apple geniuses.

Don't get me wrong. I love Apple. I've purchased at least one of almost everything in their product line for 30 years now. But sometimes the folks who interface with users are dickheads, as they can be anywhere.

I have 8.02 on my ipad air. It only fixes some of the issues 8.0 created.

Curiously, the Copy and Paste issues seem to be only on some apps. Safari, for instance, still has issues, but Google Chome does not.

I have an original IPad that did the same thing on the final upgrade that was available for it. I stopped using Safari on it altogether.

After about three weeks they fixed it, but I had to reload all my software.

I searched around and it was reported that those who did a "clean" fresh install of iOS 8 had the least problems.

Maybe iOS 8 installed on top of iOS 7 caused most of the weird bugs?

In my last post I erred and said 8.1 when I meant 8.2. I am at 8.2 and I have the problems I noted on my iPad.

I'm going back to my Windows desktop until the geniuses at Apple Central figure this out .

I also tried a factory reset. Maybe I will try it again.

Werner, I couldn't access the APN cause AT&T has that locked up like everything else.
I stopped by the local AT&T joint and the girl looked at me like I was crazy
when I said I used to have a good Traffic function on iOS 6. Maybe she
hadn't been born yet. Anyway, it seems that the 'update' to 8.0 has done
away with that functionality. I said, "That's an update?"

I wound up downloading a free traffic app that seems pretty good, maybe
even better than the old one. I already forgot what it's called, something
weird like Ixis. Maybe written by Eddie Izzard?

I had to go to "settings" then "general" then "reset." I did the "reset all settings," and that fixed all of my iPhone problems after the upgrade to 8.02. Lost my background photo, though. Got Apple Maps back!

8.2 is a total wad of crap, there is no denying this. Using my iPad is like pulling teeth, especially for doing certain kinds of things--- totally unreliable and frustrating.

They should seriously consider a retro option in which you can be allowed to go back to a prior OS version---maybe they do but I'm not enough of a tech-head to be aware of it--- I'm just a person who wants my IPad to work right ---like it used to.

If this is an upgrade I don't need a downgrade.

What did you pilgrims do?? I have absolutely no problems at all with my 5s @ 8.0.2 (ATT) synching to my Mac Pro 1,1 hacked to run 10.9.5 Mavericks. None ever with this getup. Traffic is in "Maps" by the way, and is fully functional for me. Images are right side up from camera.

We trusted the Almighty Apple, that's what we did. This morning my 4s map
only shows the blue dot and a previous pin, on a blank checkerboard. I
tried the suggested Reset Network Settings so I guess that reset something
not so desirable, eh?

See you at Starbucks!!!...

Really? Is that where I can get my iPhone fixed?

And why do I have this nagging suspicion that when I'm in Italy next week
it will take a complete dump?
