Anyone game for a jaunt up Lone Pine Peak in the next couple of weeks? It's been on my list a long time now. A real plus would be hitting it with a mt adventurer who's already experienced it - to point out the good stuff. Perhaps we could also throw in Mithral Dihedral or Western Front? I'd be coming from Carson Valley. Safety conscious. PM if interested.

I'm booked but it's a great summit.
Sounds like your talking NE ridge or south walls.
But if you want to just bag it, hike up the trail to just below Upper Meysan lake and shoot up the obvious sicko steep dead end scree. Near the top of the pile hang a left up through a not too bad death chute to the summit ridge. The summit is about 1/4 mile east through a long field of boulders the size of cars and small houses. Return same route. Other fun peaks bagable in the same zone.

Just did NE ridge a month ago, but currently recovering from broken toe. I'd be healed and ready for something in the second half of October but that may be too late for you. But really nothing good there...
