With the upcoming climbing season around the corner, I thought that I would do a public service announcement.

We know have 3 local resolers in Josh. These are, in no particular order:

Flophouse Resoles:
Dave Berumen
Web: http://flophouseresoles.com/

Pat Dennis Resoles:
Pat Dennis
Drop off at Nomad Ventures

Positive Resoles:
Locker
http://www.positiveresoles.com/

I know all of these people, and have had shoes resoled by each of them. All do excellent work. Give them some support. Please contact them directly.

The season is coming soon!

Locker does resoling?

I thought that was just a front for dealing in glue.

Joshua Tree has nothing but wonderful assets. I met Dave cleaning up the climbers' pit. Somehow when you go where there is sand, you find the best.

Dave is a class act. I had him working for me for around 6 months. 100% reliable, honest, hard worker and good to his word.

All three of these guys are! Please support them.

Good job Rob. The only question is which item needs the resoles. Your shoes or your shins?

We gonna see you this season?

I figure with as abrasive as that stuff you guys call rock is you'd have room for a lot more than three? Maybe gumbies just by new shoes?

Definitely Robert. Debbie is back east helping her mom, but when she gets back we will be in touch. Say hi to Hildi.

Will do! Looking forward to seeing you both. Maybe we can convince Evans to come down as well. Say hi to Deb.

It's funny the gumby buying new shoes comes up. I must encounter at least 30 clients a season who have worn their shoes down to cardboard from the gyms and sport climbing.

I have aces that have been resoled many times. In the right hands they are good as new.

I'm sure Dave would dig it too.

So if you resole with C4 your not a gumbie.

Says the guy who resoled hid Katinas 5 times so far.

I'd like to take the time to thank Tony from the The Rubber Room for those.

It's far away from J-Tree but road trippers should have choices.

This is a thread for locals and visitors of JTree.

I had a pair that I had so many resoles that locker sent me a message when they were returned completed: "NEVER SEND ME THESE AGAIN!"

They are now currently residing in a landfill somewhere.

You can start the thread but you can't choose what gets put into it. Maybe you should start a J-tree centric website. Then you can filter out the noise. Until then, well?

I always buy new shoes.
Refuse to support dirty resolers.

Last resole I got was from Jules. She at least put a Jolly Rancher in there.

Bartlett used to do that as well. These guys do good work. Support them.

By the way Rob, in order for that sign to truly represent locker, the lot # needs to be 666.

How about these Lowas hiking boots...well we don't want to fix them as they're too heavy by today's standards but thought you would enjoy.

2 weeks ago on the approach to Middle Pal, about 1 mile in - "Lovely" comes limping up to us while dragging her foot. The sole just detached. Only by coincidence did we have some duct tape with us. After the switchbacks the sole on the other boot fell off. Gotta love duct tape!

Positive Resoles' website says "Positive Resoles Online is currently closed." Is Locker not doing resoles anymore or did he just shut down the website?
