As chance would have it, I am stuck in endless flight delays the Missoula airport. Fortunately Jedediah's Airport Cafe has Moosedrool on tap. As the obliging waitress brings me yet another one, I'm reminded of my recently befriend Moosedrool, aka Adrezej (Andre in English).

While I enjoy the namesake and contemplate acquiring one of the many excellent items of Moosdrool merchandise from the gift shop; hats, shirts, stickers, etc., I will take advantage of making this dedication to the man.

Yes, I have been told that some may have been offended by some of his past behavior, I can understand, please give him a second chance because he is a good man, a father, and a great climber. I think he has reformed and we can look forward to content from him, less likely to objectify certain body parts.

As for the beer, Moosedrool brown ale, on tap, is definitely better than Newcastle. Huzzah for the USA! Missoula, Montana shall henceforth be considered the geographical center of North America.

Please dedicate your positive posts to the man AND the beer.

The Montana product of the brewer's art is a dandy refreshment. Even donini has it occasionally (but not before six p.m.). In fact, he even climbs with MooseBlank.

He's a sweet guy, for an immigrant, and he won't admit it, but he CAN out-climb Martyna, his daughter.

He's generous, smart, and funny, and not so hung on boobage as you've been led to believe. He hasn't "reformed," because he was never "deformed" in the first place. I still can't understand the recent banishment.

He may seem like a bit of a poser, but he's not, as these photos will attest. I've stalked the wild moose, but the one you see here is no wilder than...a pet moose...donini's pet moose.
His influence is beginning to tell. Witness this guy, the notorious Big Mike, who was under the influence of MooseDrool at the time this photo was taken.

let me answer ur question, norwegina. moosedrool showers after every climbing route if he can. he, like u, is a clean climber. he never, ever rocks the mange. and he don't snore like the big moose from b.c.

yeah, I see a fair bit of a sense of humor when reading his posts and maybe a little witty on the side..I dig

IMHO, as far as the beer goes, it is actually one of the 3 worst beers in MSO. Hella sugar and has a way of puttin the hurt on the ol' gastric sitch. So, the next time y'all are in MT, anything from BlackfootBrewing with their IPA topping the charts, Single Hop from the B-Root brewery, WildwoodStout from Stevi, anything from Bayern in MSO, or just get whatever they have on tap that is from MT and sample away. Unfortunately, most swill from MSO is of the green variety(and I'm not talking the 'Peace' variety) so be warned....! I don't why there seems to be such a problem with aging...

These of course don't hold a candle to the Human Moosedrool and some aren't brown ales, but in my quest to avoid the odious West Cost IPAs, Imperial IPAs and the rest of their ilk (*1,*2), these have stood me in good stead:

(*1) West Coast IPA, recipe #1:
10 gal vodka, 100lb fresh hops, cold steep for 10hrs, filter, carbonate as market as Black Lagoon "Francis Drake Special IPA"

(*2) West Coast IPA, recipe #2:
10 gal vodka, 100lb fresh hops, soxhlet extract for 10hrs, filter, carbonate as market as Arrogant Illegitimate "Imperial IPA"

On a sadder note, Pawel Adamowicz, the mayor of Gdansk, was murdered a week ago. IIRC the inimitable Moosedrool's hometown.

Gdansk (as Danzig) was where the Second World War officially started in Europe, and also the home of the Solidarity movement, which helped erode Communist rule. Mr. Adamowicz was a popular and highly regarded mayor, and critic of the increasingly authoritarian and right-wing Polish government.

Adamowicz was knifed to death at a hospital fundraiser a week ago.

Moosedrool seems to have been up to moosechief.

The nifty Norwegians have now built the largest moose in the world. It is named Storelgen, and is on the main highway from Oslo to Trondheim.

It surpasses Mac the Moose - native to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan (part of Canadia) - which has been the largest moose in the world for 31 years.

Although even if Moose Jaw were to make Mac the Moose bigger by larger antlers, a hat or other means, it looks like Norway would take the lead again before long. "We are looking into building a much bigger one [moose statue], 20 meter high, in gold," she said.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/fun-to-beat-canada-artist-behind-world-s-largest-moose-weighs-into-canada-norway-moose-debate-1.4985886

Except now those sneaky Swedes are planning to build an even bigger moose: https://www.aftenposten.no/verden/i/8wa3w2/Forst-slo-Norge-Canada-i-a-ha-verdens-storste-elg-Na-kan-Sverige-utfordre-rekorden

Mac the Moose: 9.8 m

Storelgen: 10.3 m

Lame-ass Swedish imitation ("Stoorn"): 47 m. (!)

Is Moosedrool behind all this? Moosetually Assured Destruction, perhaps?

It's getting serious:

For over 30 years, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada was home to the World's Largest Moose: Mac the Moose. The moose stood proudly along Canada's #1 highway and was the embodiment of Moose Jaw pride.

Then, in 2015, the Norwegians deliberately and intentionally stole the title from us with the creation of "Storelgen" - an ostentatious chrome moose made to be exactly 30cm taller than Mac.

They've now raised C$7,000 to make Mac the Moose bigger:
