Does anyone know if there is a climbing gym or place to climb outside in Munster, Germany? I'll be staying there for a short time, but I'd like to bring my climbing shoes if there is a place. Thanks!

Munster is right next to the Netherlands which = flat like pancake.
You best bet is the DAV (German Alpine Club) they own an operate many of the climbing gyms. I took a quick look at the Munster chapter page, no mention of a Kletternhalle (climbing gym).
I climbed on some sandstone formations in Luxemburg which isn't exactly close. Lots of sandstone in the Pfalz region around Kaiserslautern. Again, not exactly close.
Maybe get a bike? Bike touring is a lot of fun in Germany.

Google finds 2 plus a Bouldering gym.
Kletterhalle High Hill
Salzmannstraße 140, 48159 Münster, Germany
Kletterfabrik Vertikal-Labor Münster, Lütkenbeckerweg 10, 48155 Münster, Germany.

Not much for outdoor climbing. Niddeggen in the North Eifel is probably closest. I know people from that area also drive to the Quarries at Ettringen by Mayen but that is also probably 2 hours or so.
There are also some climbing areas scattered about the Harzgebirge between Hannover and Göttingen.

Thank you for the suggestions. I may check out the climbing gym and will try road biking.
