Info about Adams Peak near Crestone?

So at the end of August my lady and I are going to spend an au natural week at Valley View Hot Springs on the Orient Land Trust, and I plan to squeeze in an ascent of Adams Peak on one of the days she's at her medical conference in Crestone. Zooming in on the satellite photos with Google maps, it appears that the trail access into the basin below Adams Peak is out of Crestone. If any of you Colorado-ites have done Adams Peak from the west I'd love to have your input. Thanks in advance. You may contact me via email if SuperTopo posts it.

Yes trailhead is out of Crestone, real easy to find and follow in August, summitpost has the beta plus other mountains nearby in case the weather is not beneficial to going above 13K. Great Sand Dunes is nearby in case the weather looks bad.
