Damn that chick is bad. Those announcers are bad in a different way. How tall was she again? I didn't hear them the first 14 times.

yeah that was getting pretty ridiculous AND SHE'S ONLY 5 FEET TALL!!!

But it was the most impressive ANW run I've seen (which may not be seeing much, but still).

Usually the Warp Wall seems tough for shorties, but she got it first try.

I wonder if she climbs--if not, she should!

I got home and turned the TV on just in time to see the whole thing. Good thing since my auto record failed me that night. Totally mind-blowing. The leaping from pole to pole because she flat out couldn't reach was totally insane.
She's a world-class athlete IMO.

Remind me...How tall is she again? :)

Kacy IS a badass and an inspiration... she KILLED it! I suspect with her strength and determination she has what it takes to go all the way.
GO KACY!

But real quick... Justin, that Ross Sisters clip...
HOLY SH#T.
Jefe showed it to me last night, and then we kept watching it, repeatedly. So much so, the tune got stuck in my head, and the contortions they did riddled my dreams.

Good times.

The announcers are a little kitschy but the athletes and obstacles are fascinating.

The wife got me watching this last weekend...

How about those announcer guys talking about how the competitors who use straight-arm hangs are "doing it wrong" ? Apparently when you climb, your elbow should always be at a 90-degree bend.

Doh.. missed Meg last night when I walked away from the TV for a minute. I assume she didn't make it far.

Issac always makes it all look flawless and easy. He's crazy strong compared to everyone else in the entire competition. As a rookie, he went out on the spider jump last year (not a skill you can learn on the fly) but I'm sure he found a way to practice for it this year.

I'd never hear of that other professional climber who they claimed climbs V-16?...then again, I don't pay attention to professional boulderers.

Damn, watching that old video clip of the Ross Sisters made me remember that I always wanted to date a contortionist. It would be like having a threesome, every night, the way she can contort her body! Wow!

OK ANW fans--it's on now, "Mighty Kacy" will run later in the episode-- she should have a good chance, some midget male gymnast just completed the course. (Looked the warp wall was going to shut him down after a miserable first attempt, but he got it next try.)

She really needs an agent. She is as marketable a personality as I've seen in awhile. She could go on GOT tomorrow. but she is 25, she needs to get on with it, or her opportunity will pass her by.

I LOVE this show and Jessie is wonderful to watch. Complete feminity in a tough as nails physique. She looks very long through the torso and I've often wondered if the longer torso = longer core muscles hence more core strength?

The other female competitor I like a lot is the one that is a caretaker to the disabled girl.

Both she and Jessie just seem committed without being over the top ego flashy. Yes Jessie will wear the shiny outfit but it's still rather functional.

So many of the top contenders got wiped out Monday early on. It was difficult to watch that.

Damn, this would be one of the few things I would miss about watching regular TV.

Monolith, that course looks badass and that lady even more so. I don't get into watching ball sports at all, but I could easily be a spectator for this stuff.

So when are there going to be ANW gyms opening up? Could give climbing gyms a run for the money.

He he, I'd love to see an ANW chick is who over the top ego flashy then!
I agree that Jessie is great (as an athlete and as far as I can tell from the show she's a fine person), but "shiny" is just one way to describe her outfit (and she's always got an outfit, whether it be a tutu or Supergirl or this week's whatever that was). It didn't leave a lot to the imagination. NTTIAWWT, or that she's doing anything different from a lot of the male competitors.

I see Meagan Martin at the gym (Movement in Boulder) and she always seems like an upbeat person, hope she does well (or did well, I imagine it's all pre-taped and has already happened). I'd have to think that many of the hard climbing Movement gang (world cup competitor types) would do very well at ANW with training.
