Wow! COOOOL TR!! Especially the closeup of eagles & babies in the nest.
There was a story in this week's Mammoth Sheet about the rescue of a baby eagle that fell from its nest. The rescuer described the baby as "the size of a cocker spaniel, with 6-ft wingspan." Them eagles are BIG birds!

No adults anywhere to be seen. . . just both babies very quietly waiting. This baby skoogied up to the edge of the nest and I was hopin' he'd fly right before my very eyes but he turned around and pooped off the edge! NICE!
America does give a sh!t. God love the USA!

That's awesome Ekat,what a beautiful sight.
In the winter I like to take my gf's kids eagle watching. Their excitement really adds to the experience. You're welcome to join us if you would like. We usually go to the West Valley, north shore of Flathead Lk, and/or Smith lk Waterfowl management area.
Happy paddling.

ekat, you're killin' it with those eagle shots!!
So awesome...last month I went on a canoe trip down the Sacramento River and a friend on our trip snapped some nice shots of an eagle. Eagle shots at 3:22.

You, my friend, should never leave the house without a camera...
I was out there a couple days ago and the babies are still nest ridden. It would be really cool to be there for their first flights. DOOD, they're the size of frikken cocker spaniels, they look like they should have taken wing weeks ago.
This is your mission, if you choose to accept it!
