How's it goin', eh?

It's a long story, but I am looking for a wall partner or two to climb New Dawn to Wall of Early Morning Light with me. All of the water and wine is in place at the base, and some spare food too. About all you need to do is bring camping gear, a bit of climbing gear, your personal stuff and some food and we're ready to go.

I just don't want to solo again - I did that last fall, and it's too much work for me on a route this long. But it's a really fun moderate route, with four stylin' bivi ledges.

It seems a shame to have to bring everything down, so let's get up on the wall right away!

Please contact me via email using this website.

Cheers,
PtP Pete

Pete, you notice that haul was not included in Whitemeats list? Hmmm...

Highly recommend the Pete wall "experience." It may not be in the style that is preferred these days. While you will probably never work this hard again, you will also never laugh so hard or smile as much as on one of Pete's epic adventures. Anyone can climb lurking fear in two days,. How many people could climb it in 20? Probably about three...and Pete is one of them. :)

Pete if you need your stuff moved to another route let me know and I will help if schedule allows. For beers of course. Good ones.

Kate

Edited to note that space jugging is hauling...sort of.

Awwwwww.....

Kate, you're so sweet. [You really are, and even though you might deny it, I will say otherwise] Thanks for the endorsement.

Kate and I have done a half dozen or so routes together, including some that are Pretty Darn Hard like KAOS and BUBS and WSR. She is a great climber, and very quietly made yet another solo of El Cap this spring on the SW Face via the seldom climbed Horseplay.

I'm hanging out near the Pizza Deck tonight, come find me in the "library" across the way. Look for the Big Wall Winesnob with the $2.19 plastic mini-bottle of Woodbridge Chardonnay, but drunk from proper Chardonnay stemware..... or at least what I could borrow from the bar.

That is a tasty invite…..It would be a nice return to the captain for a guy who has not been on a real wall since the 90's but I have a 3 week old little gal in my lap:)

It would take me a while for each pitch but ya! The descent would be epic and I couldn't carry anything though! I might be in the valley this Tuesday or something, I will bring personal gear just in case Pete!

parachute? thats a possibility... Or perhaps just make a slip n slid down the east ledges? I think every one would like that! after finishing a big hot wall, get to slid down a 3000 foot slip n slid with your gear! What about it pete, haul up a 3000x100 foot tarp?

Rap the nose, or maybe we can get them cavers up there to string up their 3000 foot line! I think we are on to something mike!

Bump for pre-schlepped water and gear!

You need a VERY long rappel rack to descend a 3000-foot-long hunk of caving rope, which weighs a couple hundred pounds. Imagine trying to rap a hunk of steel rebar.

Hey Pete,
I'm in if you'd be down to blast off next Monday. I know that's a whole week away but I thought I'd throw it out there. I too am somewhat injured after a fall off lunar eclipse last week. But life is good and I got off pretty easy, eh? I'm looking forward to getting back on the captain. Its been a great walling season so far and I want to keep on going. Stoke is high. Give me a call. 5412075203
