Finesse Makes Best.
It is an artful, expedient, and joyous way to approach life in general.
This is exemplified in the smooth moves made by women moving over stone.

CragDarlins’ -post up yer proudest girlfriends.
CragsMen -let's see yer moms, sweet hearts, daughters.
Uberdolls -by all means post up yer own darlin' mugs.
EverydayGals –You are the rule and the gift of the female presence, Post Up!
(ya'll got it, so flaunt it)

A few basics along the avenue toward Finesse,

Power, Economically Applied:

Position, a Kinesthetic Necessity:

Humor, the Backbone of the Whole Affair:

So,
With those notions in mind,
Start young and stay young-
Or aspire to that feeling,
And finesse will come:

Here ya go, Tarbousier... A (noncharacteristic) taste of the Tennessee Wall for you:
Nope... not jugging' the rope. I had to move it out of the crack so that I could get in the crack. Fun route, and one I've led, but the arete to the right is fantastic and a much more appealing (IMO) route.

Found another for ya:

Nice photos and great thread as always Tarbuster.

My three year old after climbing Half Dome outside the cables. I received a lot of crap for it from the other hikers because they thought I was endangering her life.

Mark what's the story on 'Saturn Return'? Looks great on great rock!

Is that an old 'Becca photo? I recall more extensive, VW-based tats.

just in case "finesse" also includes smiling through BIG exposure...

and I guess there is no finesse to bouldering random fist cracks in the desert (that ain't chalk, just looks like it) in your hiking shoes....but keeping the matching hat and scarf on while you are doing it adds "Panache".

jaybro,
the photo of becca was taken in the fall of 2004.

saturn return is at one of the newer central oregon crags that has stacks of unclimbed cracks. if you like basalt cracks you'd love the crags around here. feel free to contact me if you head to oregon and i'll give you some beta.

I met Becca when I was repping; she worked in Moab at Pagan.
Sort of a tuff side to that lass.
Her van burned up or something, bummer.
Nevertheless she seems like a keen lifer.
Nice to see.

Hey Wes & Mark,
You'all gotta great knack for rendering the personalities of these women.

I think the oblique POV helps, but the trigger finger sure gets it done.

jaybro,
in the second photo of becca ,she's climbing cruel sister which is in the lower gorge at smith.

the rock in the lower gorge rivals any basalt area. very aesthetic crack climbs.

lot's of wide stuff, in central oregon, awaiting fa's from a hard man like you jaybro.

I dunno, Mountain Man. I think most of us are posting our own photos, not copies of other folks' work we downloaded from Rockclimbing.com --
without attribution or even the source URLs. Have you got some that you took yourself?

You may want to rethink your posting before he checks out this thread again.

It is astounding how many great shots we are culling here.

I think I see that Wes Allen shot in MM's post, with the signature overhead angle: just awesome. Since some of us have shown concern MM, maybe just give the credit, but leave the shot? Just a suggestion. I'm fine with it.

Rock on everyone.

Photo credits are always appreciated by me. And for people out there trying to scrape together a living behind the lens, they should be required for sure. Maybe even post a link to their website to help them out a bit.

That said, the one of Yasmeen on New Yosemite, Junkyard wall, NRG is one of my shots.

I have deleted all the photos I posted.

I've been collecting them for years, as my screensaver.

Like Tarbuster, I love these photos.

I posted them in the middle of the night, as it's 3 hours later here. When I awoke I thought I should explain that they were from rc.com and not my own. However I went climbing before coming back to the forum.

I apologize to anyone who is miffed. I meant to put in a disclaimer. I won't post again on this thread unless they're my own pictures. Sorry.
