The amount of suffering and fear we endured made the rest of life seem like a cakewalk. It reset my idea of what real pain is (physical and emotional) and now I walk through life without much fear. I learned that pain sharpens us.

Love that quote. It's so true. I had a 24-year old girl in the doctor's office go hysterical over a nasal swab for influenza. She sobbed liked a baby, crying that a nasal swab was the worst discomfort she had ever experienced in her life.
