I love summits, but I might like canyons and valleys even more. I know of a few, but there have to be more Yosemite-esque valley around the world (ya, none are quite like "The Valley" but you get the idea).

Here are some beauties off the top of my head:

Kings Canyon

Tehipite Valley

Hetch Hetchy

Little Yosemite Valley

Cochamo

Keketuohai Geological National Park (China)

Zion (not glacial or granite, but beautiful and U-shaped!)

andringitra national park (madagascar)

What else? There's got to be other inspiring valleys to climb in, it's a big planet!

Headwall Creek.

Klite Creek.

Neighbouring valleys near Powell River. Plenty more there. BK says the rock sucks or it's too bushy or something.

U-shaped valleys are prime habitat for pretty lakes.

Thanks Limpingcrab. Yes,I took it a few days after the shut down ended last October. Hardly anybody in the park then. I felt like I had the place all to my greedy self. ;^)

Just back from this sweet Yosemite knock off. Plenty more to do, if you don't mind a little vertical jungle!
