I would bet that the AC bill is over $5k a month during the summer… probably WAY over.

This is very sad.

Beverly built the house so she could be near her dad. But he passed before the house was completed.

That place is epic.
I'd be freeballin around with my acoustic and like, a pack of 20 chihuahuas.

I'd also have sharks with laser beams and stuff.

It would be a nice upgrade over The Pit, but I don't think the AAC will spring for it. :-)
Not as cool as the Cohn property, though.

What's "freeballin", Jefe? It sounds like something to do with sex. I just can't see you getting it on with a pack of chihuahuas.

Trippy looking. It's kind of an odd structure though. It is set in a place to take advantage of its environment but seems so focused on the structure looking funky that it seems to shut out that terrific setting.

i watched them build that frickin thing. it has an elevator in it.

it ganked a couple of minor but good bouldering areas that i used to work out at. i spent a lot out time in that quad during the closure in the 90s.

i hope the local tweakers blow it up.

I went to the site many years ago. It was very clearly a labor of love. Among those of us who are romantics, such things tend to make one contemplate actions ruled out by real world considerations. But frankly my checking account will not allow it.

Real estate taxes( 1% of value) are a recurring expense and recurring expenses have a powerful affect on monetary decisions. 2008 showed us how essential taxes are. We need only accept that they are an important part of life.

Assessors do not always assess a property at the purchase price. In that case, however, at the asking
a new owner must come up with $2500 each month just for the real estate tax.

At a trash gathering on Copper Mountain Mesa I saw another sad situation. We threw abandoned
sofas into a large but abandoned home rather like cowboy's photo. It was very open and such a
grand structure must have been all or more than its builder could afford. But there it was. A wrecked
dream.

Cash flow. Cash flow. Cash flow.

Looks cool. Not a bad price (by Vancouver standards). And I've got one evil bastard of a cat to pet while I reveal my nefarious schemes to Mr. Bond. It wasn't in the article, but I assume there's a built-in cutting laser?
