When?
Memorial Day Weekend, Festivities May 24th with climbing all weekend

Where?
Woodfords Canyon, CA (One of These Days parking area)

Food?
Looking for multiple cooks this year, post up if you are down to roll up your sleeves and feed the masses

Money?
TBA, we'll work out food donations as we get closer to the date.

Drink?
As moose said last year, "Yes. Bring your favorite drink"

Safety?
With any luck, the illustrious Ron Anderson will be on hand to assist with all emergencies.

Climbing?
I'm pretty sure there is plenty.

Kovar's 2 cents,
Last year, donations went towards the glorious pig that Sean brought and Dan's upcoming guide book. This year I'd like to suggest donations/silent auction items go towards repaying/supplying the canyons FA teams with money for hardware. They put a lot of hard work, time, and money into the canyon let's show them we appreciate it!!!!

Kovar out...

Thanks moose....I know you will help. I'm glad to see people are interested in doing this again. When I wanted to do this several years ago I wasn't sure it would ever happen. Last year was great in bringing so many different people and generations of climbers together. Lets do it again.

Alright people, trying to get t-shirts ready here.

Looking for a short blurb for the front logo. Ideas?

If all goes well, with resolution, the back will be Ron Anderson's Woodfords area map and the front is still up in the air...

Let 'er rip...

Once I get it mocked I'll order one for QC and then I'll take orders...

I GET up in the
MORNING
to go climb
WOODfords
canyon

"I get morning wood" is in bold large letter and the rest is very small.

Just throwing it out there.

Shawn

Portent,
Do you want to coordinate with me on anything else? Ill be doing most of the food and bringing most of the supplies. Plates, utensils, etc.
T- shirts are a great idea.

Will need a couple tables. Deserts would be nice. BYOB. Pop up tents for shade would be awsome it someone has one. Depending on where I park my trailer I should be able to pull my awning out for shade. I will have a generator again for music.

Anything else please let me know.

This is what I was thinking for the shirts.

I tries to mimic Ron's font for the front. An artist I am not. If anyone else has the skill and time to do the front in his font, let me know.

Feedback on colors and what not, please. I'd like to order on to make sure they look okay before ordering the lot.

Okay, sorry I've been silent. Moving and a shoulder injury have left me in pain and busy. Going to order shirts tonight... please email me size and # of shirts to azbadeh1@gmail.com if still interested (even if you already have just to be sure) . Under 20 shirts is going to range from 18 to 25 bucks I think. I'll email my paypal info if people can pay me that way, if not I'll collect at the fest.

Thanks

Sadly, it looks like Christina and I probably won't be able to go this year. Really bummed about it, but with the wedding being the following week she's pretty adamant about not going in case there are issues.

If we do go, it will be a last minute thing because all the ducks are lined up and we don't have anything to worry about. Sorry gang!

Should be able to pick one up at any ranger station or blm for free. There has to be at least one person with a permit there when a fires burning, and you best have a shovel and water handy. I bet they take it serious with the conditions this year. I would do it if i was staying, but just stopin in to say hi for a bit.

Hello all,

I just found this thread. I live in Tahoe (moved here in December), and I haven't heard of this event. Could anyone please give me some more info about what to expect? Is there a campground where all the climbers meet up and hang out? It sounds interesting, and I have heard a lot of good things about Woodfords Canyon. Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated! Yea Friedo, the Steeple is a very clean bit of rock. The regular route was really good and I thought the corner was a very enduro for a 10a. The first pitch is dirty but kind of cool in it's own right. Once you've sent the corner pitch you have many lines you can rap down and climb.

We started at Woodcutter Wall. That was clean as well. Great splitters with a easy approach. Looking forward to more jamming on that little craglet.
