I don't know that I ever met him in person, but of course saw his posts here on ST. I am so sorry for those close to him, so painful to feel him gone.

I hate asking this, and I mean no disrespect, but does anyone know what happened? He still had plenty of life in him.

Such a tremendous loss. A day we spent climbing in the Phantom Spires looms large among my favorite climbing memories. (And most oft-told tales.) I'll never forget his thermonuclear rebuttal to the obnoxious, know-it-all bumblies climbing next to us who had the gall to slag off my ragged climbing shoes and in the next sentence tell him that it wasn't safe for him to belay me with a stitch plate.

(Nearly cost me a ground fall, I was laughing so hard and fumbling over a piece.)

Oh no... he was always just another regular guy, a name I would see next to some posts. I am sorry for your loss, I wish I knew him better. He was a cool dude.

To Jenren and all the others who knew and loved this man, or just were glad he was there, my condolences. It's been an unexpected dimension of this forum, over the years, feeling the pain and sense of loss each time some unique individual leaves the campfire.
